some interesting and valid points made. The circular argument isn't worth any more words from me, but I see both sides.
...I find it most interesting that he is able to stir up so much fire in people. This guy and his pedals weren't even on my radar aside from seeing a few on boards here and there. I plugged in a few and nothing seemed to jump out at me that I hadn't heard in other pedals (well obviously considering the history but I didn't know any of that when plugging them in)...but then this youtube channel and cross youtube channel appearances started popping up everywhere. I guess he's trying to rebrand? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Again, the biggest reason that bringing up JHS causes such a stir around here is location, location, location.
Out of all the internet forums, this is one that's long been the center of many controversies involving that dude.
All things considered, it's clear there's mainly 3 groups of people when it concerns view about JHS: those that don't like him and want people that support him to fuck off, those that love him so much they'd offer up their first born for an early release Morning Glory, and those that have no idea what anyone's talking about. Naturally, you'll find the majority of this forum falls under group #1.

I would like to say something positive about the man: those new $400 peds are the least worst-looking pedals that JHS has ever put out and I could see myself paying up to 1/5th of the asking price to own one.

Sorry, couldn't resist the joke - I'll see myself out.
I've never been wowed by anything JHS has done, so the risk of my political polarities stepping in to guide my buying hand is amazingly close to zero already. In a way, it's comforting that a bunch of people relish in mediocrity, though I suppose the world in general would improve were that to shift..
