Yeah tell me about it.
Every year i submit something that is the polar opposite of that and every year i get smashed.
For the few of you with functioning taste buds that do vote for me, it has been noted and is appreciated .
Everyone else needs to get off the hype train.

I personally vote for the boards that aren't hype train and show signs of "I chose to use this" and "using what I got."

Bonus points if the same things are being used four or five years later at least in part!

Yep, only real changes I make are when I'm able to have something built that meets a particular need, or when I scrape up the bucks to afford something that's been on my list.

There are very few genuinely new products out there, and I'm perfectly happy to test my own preconceptions about both commonly blasted (Metal Zone, anyone?) and beloved boutique stuffs.

I will never win awards for being cool or having the FOTM, because, well, after over twenty-five years of playing....I pretty much know what I want!

I make changes all of the time. My board is constantly in flux, though I rarely record and don't have a band SOOOOOOOOO yeah.

I want a six string bass so I can be like Thundercat.
