They did an interview in late 2016, where they called their new NAMM pedal a "time-based modulation" unit, so that seems to be in line with the Space Spiral. Also, they keep doing those Adult Swim-esque videos about a team from space, so I was expecting the pedal to have some kind of outer space, or sci-fi exploration theme.

Yep.
It's funny, the EQD one reminds me of my Echo Dream 2 sans fuzz.

i posted this on the last page about the EQD:

someone on another site mentioned a new EQD pedal that sounds promising (i love the Afterneath)

"Got to get a quick peek and listen to EQD's new Space Spiral at tonight's pre-NAMM party at Kingsize Soundlabs. This was a collaborative event with sE Electronics, Neve and Overstayer. It was hard to get a definitive read on the pedal since it was patched into a toy (looked to me) keyboard in Rob Schnapf's main tracking room, but it sounded like a cool compliment to their Afterneath, where there are interactive ways to manipulate modulation onto the delayed signal. I should have snapped a pic. The graphics were white on gray and it had six knobs.

The little I heard of the pedal (without someone introducing three or more other effects into the mix) was really promising. Where the Afterneath uses little bursts of delay to create the reverbesque effect, this was an equally intriguing take on tape delay with some RE-201 oscillation sounds in there. I plan on picking one up."

I played the Space Spiral last week through a friend who works at Earthquaker. It's a modulated analog-voiced delay. The modulation is morphable between a square wave and a triangle wave, and the delay gets pretty long without sounding shitty. We just messed around with it on a Yamaha CS15 (SUPER UNDERRATED SYNTH) but that thing was mad fresh.

Quite a lot of pictures from Effects Database in this thread, sadly without links :P

My overview is here: http://fxdb.org/namm

It would be great if you could share this link (or links to pages you like :D), this is the best time of the year to reach new people ;-)

Already more than 100 pedals in the list, some are still hidden (news embargo requested by manufacturers though some of those were already officially announced today...)

Especially with that really nice note reaction thing.
Thing's pretty sweet on its own, but if Digitech ended up doing that, it'd be impossible for me to say no to it.
