I never find out about my favourite album of a given year until the year afterward.

My favourite albums from 2013 were The Wonder Years' The Greatest Generation and Frank Turner's Tape Deck Heart, which I didn't hear until after summer 2014... as for 2014, I didn't hear Saor's Aura, Emma Ruth Rundle's Some Heavy Ocean, or Indian's From All Purity albums until this year. All fan-fucking-tastic.

I love/hate end of year lists, because, Oh really, you heard every album that came out in the year, in that year? You prolific listener of musics, you.

Also just ordered a hard copy of this. Stoked.
Thanks for the tip. The Disintegration Loops just knocks me out...slowly....

Yeah Disintegration Loops are seriously next level, but the rest of his discography is quite good as well (if a little less monolithic + important)

NO BRAXTON NO BATTLES

sorry. Girl Band's video game is so fucking on point,by the way. Whoever they've hooked up with is getting the implied aesthetic perfectly.

Yeah it's just reflex at this point. I haven't kept up with them since the Glass something EP or wahtever.

The new one's closer to their old ep's B and C than it is to Gloss Drop. You might like it.

... but then I'd have to stop listening to Girl Band, who have been getting a lot of rotation around here since you posted about them earlier. Cheers for that.

Disintegration loops is my go to for tuning out annoying conversations on public transport.
