Did I do the maths right? If we all hand in 10 minutes we'll have 5 hours of droning?

Seems about right to me.

My question is sequencing.... how in he hell are we gonna figure out the order of tracks?

I'm going to burn some vacation time to visit you, resin, and aen. Obviously.

I actually think the relative sequencing is going to be pretty easy: and, of course, there's the possibility that not everyone who's on the list will wind up contributing.

Yeah its gonna be a pain especially if theres 5 hours of material....

My main goal is not going to be giving it the shine-ola and fixing mixes, its gonna be on evening out volume levels and minimal mastering reverb (so minimal you won't notice that its there, but you'd notice if it wasn't) to give the tracks some continuity. It won't be Audio Forge level of quality but it should be sufficient for what we're doing.

Yeah I mean I was sort of joking but not really. I plan on hitting up the Maryland Doom fest, (which I think you guys are playing?) so maybe we could plan it around that?

At least as far as starting to figure out sequencing and stuff.

Yes we are!!! We're playing Sunday night a band or two before Iron Man. If you wanna plan around that that would be perfect!

Yessir. I will let you know if/when plans develop, but it would seem to fit the timeline pretty well.

Also, Iron Man. AH.

Sounds good! :yay:

Yes the all mighty Iron Man, Dee the lead singer is a great dude and a long time supporter of a couple bands I've been in (including AA!) so its always a pleasure to share the stage with them.

Whose receiving the tracks right now? Any way to roughly sequence tracks as they come in then make a final verdict later on?

resin is getting them all directly right now. This is that weird point in the project where we're at a roughly democratic point in the process (even though we have a rough idea, for example, that AA is doing the mastering), so no one's taking explicit charge yet. We'll figure it out soon enough, though.

Yeah I mean tbh we have four people who are already down to sequence (maybe five?) and five hours of material -- that's five curated records right there. Easy. The only problem is getting everyone on the same page. Which I guess should probably happen soon, so PM's probably incoming for some of you in the near future.

So would that imply there be a few designated 'types' into which all submissions are labelled and grouped by? Noise/harsh drones, Ambient drones, etc?
