Played it on a short scale and jazz bass. It is a blast. The sens control lets you dial in the trigger with how you like to play. Works well with other effects too. It doen't have extreme low end or anything, just a fun fuzz that can be dynamically controlled. I love it a lot and really love pairing it with envelope filters and stuff (the fuzz reacts really well to those). It can be glitchy or not depending on how the sens is set.

You had me at glitch! I'm thinking of getting a Meatbox reissue for the low end, so I'm basically looking for fun textures. Saw the Pedals&Effects demo and thought they played it a little strange. I thought I heard some great potential there though. Good to know that it's a blast even on a short scale

Yea, they really didn't go into the dynamics of playing on the thing. It is really reactive to input volume, muting, etc.
Eh, I will go fuck around and make a video if you want...

Yeah, that was pretty hard to hear, haha! I'm still glad you filmed that though :hugh grant:

Man, I'm sorry...I have tried to record this thing like 10 times and it always sounds so bad on video...I really do need to try microphones I guess. What does hugh grant refer to (seriously I know the actor but don't get it)

I'll probably end up picking one up for cheap down the line. I'm in no rush to get one, but I did really love my Cyber Psychic and it got me thinking that I should own more LALs.
It means nothing. I just happened to type hugh instead of hug so I went with it.

The cyber looks rad. I really wanted to get the one jwar had up but the loot would spread me thin right now. The sandstorm and Gomorrah I'd also love to get. The exchange rate is pretty good being in the us right now also.

I'm so old (post 30 sucks)...I never know what people are talking about and assume I am out of some kind of loop.
I had to look up words that Steve Harvey was saying on his show yesterday because I had no idea what they were ("ghosting")...sorry about that.
Anyway, I will mess with the 8 track and see if I can get something better...or the go pro.
The other thing about phone mics is they auto adjust so they take away volume changes and pick up random sounds...like guitar strings and breathing...I was across the room and the camera was right on the bass amp...made my strings and amp the same volume.

gomorrah is the best of the three. Sandstorm is pretty specific and narrow. Cyber Psychic requires a lot of tweaking but sounds great with exp control.

Tell me about it. My GF filmed me and Eivind playing live and when I listened to it later it had removed all of my lows and most of Eivind's mid range, leaving only a certain frequency of his ring mod. It sounded so incredibly weak. Him pulling of some licks and me bent over my board. Paired with the audio, we looked like idiots. It was hilarious. Might upload that to make you feel better.

If you want...it's always cool to see live footage...Like there was so much lows the phone was rattling and jumping...the room was shaking...none of that in the video.
my old PE teacher used to say "You can't polish a turd" which would describe my playing best. I know I am terrible. It doesn't get me down, haha. I just wish stuff actually worked...it is just sad to record 30 minutes and get under 2 minutes of somethin listenable (and it wasn't even my worst playing, but it made it sound like it

). I'll get something better worked out...and play "Judy is a punk" better

It's a pretty cringeworthy clip, haha. We're playing again next Monday. I'd rather share a clip with better audio then
Recording lows on a phone is pretty much impossible. I never thought you were a bad player. Didn't seem like it from that clip at least. That's why I love fuzz and noise even more. So hard to tell if you fuck up. Ask Eivind, I fuck up all the time and I can't change the tempo of a song to save my life
