I'm sending out my stuff tomorrow, international. I was thinking of shipping USPS priority. I'm wondering how specific I have to be on the customs form listing of items, values, and weights. Does it have to be like (fake example),

M & M's milk chocolate candy 19.2 oz $4.74
Sour Patch Kids candy 16 oz $6.39
Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer electronic music effects pedal 1.3 lbs $100

or more like,

packaged candies 2.2 lbs $10
electronic music box 1.3 lbs $100

You don't have to do the weight, they'll do it.

I would declare a low value since it is in fact a gift. Like 20 bucks for the whole thing, or 50. That way who ever gets it doesn't have to pay a ton of customs fees. Priority isn't track-able to most countries either, only Express is (fuck that noise), so I'd do First Class.

One thing to be sure of. Make sure your box isn't too big, like over 12 inches in any direction, and make sure it weighs less than 4 lbs. Prices get FUCKED after 4lbs international.

The second should do fine. It's different depending on the country, the mood of the customs officer, the moon cycle, whatever. I think they don't really read those labels. If you can see it's very expensive from the label on the outside they will single it out. If the value is low it's just a matter of luck.

And either way if there is wrapped presents inside, the office will definitely believe that it's a gift.
