I kinda got out of pedals years ago because Devi (well, I knew her as Tim) took almost year to make me a pedal that was in stock at musictoyz (there was a weird thing going on where musictoys would dell them aND Tim would ship them from texas). I know that it was musictoyz fault too but it was just shady all around.

I got to know him and he was a nice guy but couldn't handle stress and deadlines. We talked a lot for a minute via emailed but he just got more distant. I don't know, I just kinda felt like no pedal was worth that kinda hassle and just stayed content with the few EHX items I had. When all my E13 stuff arrived, I just lost interest in the boutique pedals (after the many nice emails about I will ship it next week. The pedals didn't come in boxes, had paint runs and the stickers peeled within a year.

I always wish her the best, but it just was never worth it for me.

This hurts my soul. I used to be such a fan. Almost consider selling the rest of my Devis. I want nothing to do with the brand.

I told her once that I'd take a Shoegazer instead, but then I changed my mind and wanted the cash instead, but that was around the time she was apparently being harassed, so then when she asked me again I told her I wanted a Dwarvi Ever BDSM. I will be stoked to get a BDSM.

Don't do what? Sell my mistakes? Not support the current owners because of previous management flaws? I know Devi isn't building or designing pedals. But that doesn't stop the nausea. It doesn't. I'm sure Aen's a stand-up guy. I've been watching his site and his demos. Good for him and people who support him. Really. Changing hands doesn't undo the wrong. If I buy from Dwarfcraft, it will be Dwarfcraft. Nothing to do with Devi Ever.

The problem is. There's plenty of fuzz builders. I was a Devi Ever-only small builder buyer. I shut out a lot of small companies because I wanted to buy independant, buy american, buy from an underground hero. I wanted to have loyalty to a brand I believed in. Now I'm burned out. I don't care for the sound. If I did, there's plenty of alternatives that I have neglected for years--such as FuzzHugger.

There aren't many places where pedals and gear can be discussed in such a manner. There's other boards around, sure. But not many that share the same stomp box appreciation or have similar-ish interests. Most places are too uptight. Too one-up-man-ship. There is no viable alternative. Unlike stomp boxes.

And this post is going to mke me sound terrible. But it isn't posted in spite. Just observations. Just opinions. Ain't mad, just tired. Mostly of Devi's shit.

Yeah. I know they've made improvements. Lots of cool stuff if I weren't so burned out. Like, BDSM would have been right up my alley.... 2 years ago.

Now I kinda need a fuzz breather. Been looking at modulation.
