Em; I would leave all this documentation "public record" but that's just me.

Came to a semi-amicable conclusion and if Duck Homie made a breakthrough as far as customer service goes; perhaps this will help to build his credibility; or perhaps not

Gawdamn you all are some fickle sons of bitches.

ugh. saw whichever is the Surviving Corey do a band thing at the anniversary screening of Lost Boys. hundreds of folks laid out on the beach in Santa Cruz and watched the movie projected on this huge bouncy castle/screen while they talked about Santa Carla being the murder capital of the world and watching the same roller coasters that are in the movie on the side of the beach. pretty fucking cool.

his "band" was fucking HORRIBLE.

Oh please. Behndy has been extremely forthcoming and transparent here. He has quoted directly from the emails with the Luck Duck guy, so we all saw that he said and did. Luck Duck didn't just make a mistake. He made several decisions that I think were in the wrong, and one specifica action that I consider ethically and morally wrong.

The main thing that I find really shitty was editing his website post-hoc with his refund/restocking fee rule after this whole thing was already going bad, just to fuck over Behndy's Paypal dispute. (and yes, he did do this, we have Google cache proof) That's deceptive, slimy and wrong.

I fail to see how Luck Duck is, in any conceivable way, a victim here. He brought this shitstorm upon himself by mistreating a customer (which is a terrible thing to do when you are just starting out a small business), and now he has realized that that was wrong and is trying to control the damage.

That's 100% it. It doesn't even matter what I say under this, cause that's 100% it.

I don't want ILF to be swamped with builder complaints, especially over minor issues. But if someone has a builder screw them (for example, sayyyyy...mailing a broken pedal and not offering a refund--or even a repair...and then offering a refund minus 30%, while calling repairs a "hassle")...and that ILFer:
1) Attempts to resolve it with the builder, but gets nowhere.
2) Posts about the issue, with proof (like video, audio, emails).

...that is exactly what message boards are for.

It's cool that you want to defend your friend / the company you like, and you're more than welcome to point out that you've had a great experience with them (as people did in the EGC thread)--people are welcome to post opinions and experiences here.

But Behndy backed up his post. So he was backed up in return. Had he not posted this thread, he'd still be stuck with a worthless pedal, and no refund.

I support Luck Duck Pedals and wish other people would see how blown out of proportion (and more importantly- distorted and one-sided) this is before deciding that they don't.

Also, for such a premature company to get a ton of negative/false shit written and passed around the internet over (for all you know) their first and only "mistake", is probably more damaging (more-so in the short-run, but still) than you might think. I saw the YT video, and stumbled on here pretty easily. While I do think most of you are here cuz you're simply bored, it does seem like a few of you know a thing or two about what you're talkin about. My point to that is, all of you knowing how a small company who is too young to have a lot of good stuff out there about them could indeed be hurt by an equal or greater, and truly unfair, amount of negative stuff- you sure are quick to side with the only perspective of this thing that's being put out there. Which is undeniably natural- I mean you're all fond of each other it seems, and you know each other on here, and it feels nice to band together and support your friend who is supposedly being treated poorly, by what you are all describing as an evil monster who barely deserves to live, much less be good at building unique effects and attempting to be a successful small business in an ever-growing market. But I mean c'mon. This is more than likely a first and completely isolated incident, that you are obviously only hearing one side of. I've seen a few people say stuff in defense of them on the video, and maybe one or two on here. But you don't see anyone who actually knows both sides say anything, so they're seemingly defenseless, and that's never a fair fight.

And from reading the way you were all so quick to attack this company, I wasn't even surprised to see that once Behndy posted about what seemed like a pretty damn good resolution, you still couldn't drop your pride and admit that maybe you were a little quick to judge them. Instead you justify your previous arguments/"points" by saying, oh it's just cuz yer so "popular" and they're so afraid of you. It's like, get over your damn selves. Yea, maybe any bad exposure IS hurtful to a small company, I mean that's not rocket science. What happened to grace, and trying to see the good in people/support people rather than being the first to try and destroy something over what appears to be a very human (as I think someone else said on here) mistake.

Again, mind-blown by the way everyone on here was so quick to bash Luck Duck Pedals. It actually makes me sad.

(Also, I know I'm gonna get a tonnnn of negative responses to this because I'm obviously the only one here who isn't "friends" with behndy, --hence, the one-sidedness that's present on this thread-- but whatever, I don't have anything else to say, I kinda sat back for a while not wanting to jump on here for that reason, but I want anyone who stumbles on this to at least have the thought that this is definitely not the best method of deciding who to support or not).

Was that too much?
[Yes, a little.]

Ben is my boy and you're right, I'll listen to what he has to say about a company. This is VALUABLE information to me and many others on here to spend a shit ton of money on effects. I don't think it has anything to do with popularity. It has to do with the truth. It hurts sometimes, but what he's told us was all truthful information. Hard to deny a fucking video that shows the obvious problems with the pedal.

I also think that anything anyone says on here trying to defend this shit company is only going to hurt it more. Most of us have made up our minds, and we won't be swayed by some "random" person who signs up in defense of this company.

lol. you silly. silly jwars. loooooove youuuuuu.

but all vitriol aside (and i feeeeeeel you), PeaceGuitar - everything you are saying in your first post makes you sound like exactly what you're accusing of people that disagreed with how Luck Duck handled this situation.

take a few minutes and read through the thread. yes, stuff got heated in parts. people are human and insults can engender anger. but like Daltz said, i've tried my best to handle it privately first, then warn people, then share what i'm warning about.

Just a total side-note. I'm going to be singing that little "Input, Output. Input, Output. Input, Output. AMP!" diddy all day.

Ok. I can see where I went a tad far with the whole bed post bit, but it's annoying when someone joins just to jump up in arms for an obvious dick.

we all can see the lucky duck dude was very unprofessional and shitty for trying to retroactively post a no return policy, but did anyone think to look into whether or not falsifying a return policy and lying to PayPal in an official open dispute is fraud or not? i mean, i would think so. i would also think that sort of shady stuff would get your PayPal account revoked.

either way, i dont know behndy besides the couple of interactions ive had with him TODAY, and i only maybe know a handful of dudes who post here in passing, so im not biased at all. what has transcribed here was a dishonest business transaction by Lucky Duck Pedals.

those are the facts so, you cant really skew that.

I get where you're coming from. And I appreciate--and enjoy--going a tad too far for the humor in doing that. But...too far.

When inserting and gyrating on various household objects comes up against ILF's be nice, especially to the new guys policy (sometimes described as Don't be an asshole, though I don't think you're an asshole, jwar)...I come down on the later.

I left 98% of your post--and the intent of your post, which I agree with.

You know...something hit me as I was typing this...
It should have been obvious.

peaceguitar is Luck Duck.

I looked up the registrant IPs.
