Yeah, I'm cool with your decision.

The  was mainly directed at Skip for acting as if it was the worst trade ever imagined.
That's why I mentioned Chris Johnson. If the trade was Jennings for Johnson most people would see no problem.
Fantasy Football is about current statistics not presumptions.

Jennings is a great receiver but he is on a team where the ball gets spread around a ton.
Seemed like a fine trade to me especially if Best keeps freaking out like he did last night (gave me a scare!)

But, but, but, this is America! I do what I want!

I guess I understand because coming into the season these players were in completely different stratospheres. Talent-wise, they still are, but fantasy point wise, its closer than you would think (as MEC noted). So yeah. I really don't want to have to start Ryan Grant this week. He really really blows. So put your money where your mouth is and send me some trades.

MEC, we are like Romeo and Juliet. We thought we got it all worked out, but I actually wasn't dead but you had already drank the poison so I had to stab myself. Fuck.

Keep in mind Sproles is the 13th highest scoring RB with only 7 point less than Jennings so far this year.
Trades are about current value and need, not name recognition.

Sproles has 19 more points than Chris Johnson this season! That doesn't sound like a backup RB to me. :idk:

it's a long season--- all of this will change it always does---

you guys can do whatever you want-- i didn't look at the teams involved or the reason for the trade, but i've never played in a league where this would fly
it's up to the commish--- rock on!

I think the reason the trade was proposed was Hclapp has Welker, V. Jackson and Jennings and as he stated doesn't want to start Grant.
I am pretty deep a RB with Gore, Best, Sproles, Green and D.Thomas so I guess he figured I had a decent one to spare. :idk:
As already stated, if he get's a better offer before next week he'll take it.
We'll see.

PM'd on the Sproles vs. Johnson wager.

i actually feel weird about the better offer thing by the commish--- if the commish is going to approve this he should approve it now-- not next week---
i personally would not approve it at any time-- but i don't think it is fair that now people can send a better offer than MEC
i think it either is approved or not---
and again i was just sayin whoa-- that trade makes no sense---
and i will not send an offer to hclapp--- because that would be dirty-- i think the commish should approve it or not and we all move on---

You were just saying earlier you would offer someone better than Sproles for Jennings :?:

skip wrote:lots of us would give you better stuff than sproles--- sad if it passes---

If that offer is now rescinded, go ahead and do the trade again MEC and hclapp and I'll happily accept it :thumb:

hello? i retracted my statement-- did you miss that?
i said it would be cheesy for us to now offer up better trades---
go ahead and approve it--- bad deal all around--- bad precedent

My two cents on this whole situation: I don't think that vetoing a trade should happen unless it is clearly being done to throw off the competitive balance of the league - usually when a bad team is unloading its only good players to a friend, something like that. In this case, Sproles is the #13 RB right now, and RBs are always more valuable than WRs. I wouldn't say it's a good trade, but it's not ridiculous.

I've been in a lot of leagues over the years, and been the commish of quite a few, and I don't think I ever vetoed a trade. Always figured it wasn't my job to stop someone from making what I considered to be a bad decision, just to keep people from trying to cheat. Either way, I'm not gonna be upset, just thought I should finally chime in since things seem to be getting a little heated. Anyway, carry on.

:hello:

^ Agreed, this is a case of the team with the best record in the league trading down a bit to fill a need.
With the W-L records what they are I'd only be suspicious if he were getting Jennings and I was getting Sproles.
Also, I don't believe anyone in this league is good enough "friends" with anyone else to try and give them an unfair advantage.

Duo Sonic did trade all his best players to "Injured Reserve" but I don't think that counts.
:p

From now on here is my trade policy (I handled this one poorly, my apologies):

Just like ILF, don't be an asshole. As long as there is no collusion or intent to stack teams or any other sort of foul play, any trade goes :thumb:

Again, sorry to hclapp and MEC, go ahead and proceed with it
