Guitarist/Singer that I though would suck for band I'm drummer for, and we actually pumped out a decent song and a really rough demos. We're gonna record it part by part separately to get it to sound a lot better and be able to eliminate feedback/get levels better even though I have no knowledge of mixing and am recording on Garageband. Right now my ride sounds really trashy and the vocals could get a be a lot clearer. Fortunately we'll have three mics for what that's worth, I don't have any way of mixing them together for recording drums.
Now, I can listen to the demo, retool and practice the drum part. I'm so excited(confession:)I've been trying to start a band for a year and this is about the farthest I've gotten, one song and a bassist who has been to one practice and left his bass at his Dad's in Sheboygan and probably won't get it for a few weeks. For now, I suppose he can play one of my guitars through his bass amp just as a substitute.

(checks tracking again)

Dude those are awesome,
Do we have a Lets see Your Kicks thread?

Moving out of a cramped 1 bed apartment in a building filled with peasants, crackheads and drunks; run by a neglectful slumlord,....
Into a spacious 2 bed house with a semi finished basement (room to setup effects building shop and still room for the wife's crafts) in a nice neighborhood with really cool landlords and neighbors.
Moving sucks but living in a shittily run apartment building sucks worse.

Haven't played through a head/4x12 setup in like a year as I've been using my twin reverb, so last night I ran my pedalboard through my old Single Rectifier and my buddy's Uberkab and damn near pooped myself with excitement.

thanks
shit for two people that were basically held separated for 19 years, we really click... we have so much in common - we both love music, play guitar, like whiskey, don't like the other part of my family... the guy had a fair share of mistakes in his life but i decided to make my own opinion about him and don't listen to the "bitter" part of my family
but let me tell you participating in the first funeral in your life and than meeting your dad for the first time ever is kinda mindblowing experience

i was SOOOO tired in the evening
