you have been out of the game looking for them. 1200 is the low end now. I haven't seen a pre fender Model T for less than 1500 in over a year.

There's no such thing as 'Sunn guts' when it comes to those amps, FYI. Just Sunn badges. Fender bought Sunn, who had already been bought from Conrad (the OG founder/Kingsmen amp supplier) once in '71 by a Midwestern corporation, in the mid 80's, sat on the brand for a decade + change, then revived it for like 7-8 years in the 90's, killing it off for good in 2002. They eventually turned the 300T into the Bassman 300 Pro, and the 1200S into something else. The Model T reissue just died off, but it never really sounded like the OG anyway.


That said, Black Pyramid's first album is fucking rad.

I do like the reissues of the model T regardless the lack of them not really being the same amps.

No, I know $1500 is the going rate and $1200 is a "deal". I just think both are overpriced for what the amp is. Doesn't mean it's not a good amp though.

and 1500 is the going rate on the cheap end. they are closer to the 1800-2000 range now.

There's a Fender equivalent you can snag for way cheaper, but I forget which model of Twin it is exactly.
