You’re starting off in the best of places.

Score! I'm relieved to hear that, it was kind of an impulse purchase. I was looking for a three knob-style phaser, but with a couple phase stage options that were between 4 and 12 stages, so this seemed like a reasonably-priced choice.

I think it’s weird to clump these two effects in the same realm. You can sorta similar sounds from each but to me phaser sounds way more like a Univibe than a Flanger... I use phaser in a Step mode regular 1/4 notes, and with flanger I have a tap temp quantum leap and I set it to half time and then I tap it at half time so it’s suuuuuuper slow and intense. Both effects sound worlds apart, I can’t get my phaser to do what my Flanger does or my Flanger to do what my phaser does in the applications I use them but I guess you can dial them both back like crazy to sorta sound like each other but then they’re less fun.

It's not about them sounding alike, it's about both being awesome.

Slower than the Whetstone?

Not that weird. They can both sound kinda swooshy. :idk:

Phaser sounds like a Uni-Vibe because a Uni-Vibe is a… :erm: phaser. :snax:

Flangers are generally more versatile than phasers though.

True. If I had to eat only apples or only oranges, I might get kinda sick of 'em. :snax:

I think the Whetstone is probably the only answer (barring Axoloti phasing which I haven’t fucked with yet). Wombtone and Moog Phaser might compete, Chank.
