Also how did this get to be 16 pages and not mention Buzz and the ODB-3?

You could probably take just about any two dirt pedals, and find one setting that is almost identical between the two. You know, until you turn the knobs a bit.

I was wondering if I was the only one that thought of the ODB-3 when I heard the tracks.

Bossman Soze version: the greatest trick the troll ever pulled was convincing the world he wasn't trolling (though I'm not convinced)

I'm waiting for the scene where he shakes the gimp out of his leg, and it turns out he's been running an all-boutique board all along...

Soy boy reporting in just to say that clip #2 obviously has more mid presence. I kinda hate the sound of both TBH, but more mids will obviously make your shit cut through the mix better. I still think this is a pretty dumb test. Comparing two pedals in one specific setting is like comparing two restaurants by only eating the french fries from both or something. Maybe one has shit fries, but has better overall quality on the rest of the menu. Whatever, shit analogy for a shit thread.

Oh we moved past all that already? :duck:

I posted a pic of the Mantic and the MT-2 side by side on the soundcloud page. I know it probably won't convince you I actually used both pedals, but it's the best I could do. Here's a quick link to the pic since I can't seem to figure out how to post it here.

I'm not comparing two pedals in one specific setting. I was trying to prove the two pedals have a similar overall voice, which judging by my ears and the opinions of those who cared to comment on it, seems to be true. And true regardless of the component quality used in each, which I guess is what you are referring to with the your french fry analogy.

Both these pedals are at best two, maybe three trick ponies, so I don't quite get what you wanted the test to show. I could have put them both on low gain and they would sound virtually identical. I could have removed all bass or all treble from both and they would have sounded virtually identical....and so on and so forth.
