I could see us doing this more as a "party" if needed and just have beer on tap. Also, Marijuana is very legal in all forms. It's kind of awesome if you are into that kind of thing.
It's a byproduct of growing up in places with weird puritanical laws like "you can't buy beer on Sunday" and shit.Hyphen Nation wrote:Do you mean to be able to serve to others? So.......does this mean there's gonna be an ILF Washington Farm edition?crochambeau wrote:North border of PDX is a bridge leading into Washington, though beastiality is frowned upon both sides of the river.

Another potential idea is to look at some of the bigger practice spaces in town. I rent @ audiocinema under the Hawthorne bridge.Hyphen Nation wrote:Yeah. I am trying to find a venue with a bar associated with it to make it easy. There's places that do events during the day, and are music venues at night. I have notes out to a few places. Hoping I'll hear back before doing a second blast or I start calling them.
Next step will be looking for more of an art space that we can play as the gallery/private party idea and just bring kegs in.
Yeah. I wanted to explore the idea of a venue with a bar/food before going to a rehearsal space. Given the radio silence from the usual multi-purpose/concert venues, we may need to look at rehearsal spaces. I'll give them through the week to respond, then start looking at alternative spaces. There's a few oddballs that have been used as pop up galleries in the past. There's a place in inner SE industrial that I've been to parties/art openings at, and also over on Belmont. I think there's a place over by Morrison and MLK that also is just an open event space. I was trying to get us into Holocene or Mississippi studios, or other places like that. They rent for events. Was figuring a saturday morning and afternoon would be fine in one of those places, and we could leverage their bar/food staff. Going to reach out to Dante's tomorrow.truth.hz wrote:Another potential idea is to look at some of the bigger practice spaces in town. They have a huge main space with stage and PA, don't remember what they charge though. It would have to be BYO as far as booze goes, but I don't think they really care if it's a private party.
