Chiming in, more because of the original thoughts than the boner pics. Even though I definitely think it is time to show some raw rods, jwar!
I do feel that ILF has changed a lot since I've joined a couple of years ago. Some for the better, some not so much.
It has become less clique-ish and in general a more open forum. The way we talk now mostly seems to have "being understood" as a main goal. This is great because it can be used as a wealth of info now, which was less user-friedly before. I think the transition was gradual and has mostly occurred naturally.
There were a couple of things that did happen to facilitate this though.
a) Spacey got on everybody's nerves and generated a big tiredness of stupid jocular posts and pseudo-trolling and thread derailing. I think he polarised the forum into either haters or fanboys and in the end the haters prevailed, leaving the forum a little less troll-ey.
b) The HCFX meltdown led to a huge influx of (at the time) newbs that changed the tone and led to the Doom Room subforum which is still feeling a little weird to me. It's existence and the fact that there is a part of ILF that doesn't seem to belong.
c) The continual structuring of the forum with more and more divisions, like the guitar DIY forum and such. I feel this has taken out a lot of the randomness. Today if I log on and need info about Warmoth necks I know where to go. Before I had to sift through lots of info that was irrelevant to my needs. It means the forum itself is more helpful and less all over the place.
Generally speaking I laugh less while surfing on ILF now than a couple of years ago. I also tend not to get into discussions about weird shit any more. It has become mainly a source of information and as such I use it in a much more utilitarian way than I did before. It also means that I don't post as often now and read less because my general being broke leads to me not being as interested in new pedals any more.

To be honest.... The shit i got when i was spacey v 1.0 was fucked up and made me feel like a piece of shit. I didn't hurt anyone back then and then all of a sudden it was acceptable to blame the goddamn holocaust on me and i didn't deserve that shit. I think when i returned and it was hammer time i still had some resentment over the way that all went down and I am sure thats why i was so aggressive. It still kind of makes me mad that its still acceptable to call me out and shit on me by name but whatever. I seem to have a real talent for personifying the things people are fed up with in their lives.
I love some of the people I've met on here. Even some of the ones that hate me now. Ive only met one of you in person (that you know of
) and that alone is going to be a friendship until the day i die... if i have anything to say about it at least. So while this board has hurt me and we have had out differences there are still a lot of people that i come here every day just to interact with.

we're a lot more accessible, I think. I go back and forth as to whether or not that is a good change, but it is a change that seems to have been pretty permanent.

Speaking of which…
If you're talking about the image I posted, it's OK because the "giant dong" is anthropomorphic or something.hbombgraphics wrote:just scrolled through a giant dong picture at an airport!!! sorry Old lady who was snooping............
