I had 4 swamp thangs in an Emperor 4x12 and didn't like em, they were loud and bassy but I couldn't dial out a chunky blocking distortion tone. They seemed to lack any smoothness, and that just doesn't jive with me. I'm a weber 65 or WGS et65 kinda dude I guess.

Swamps have far more bass than a big Ben. Try the legend 1518s

Didn't know that about the swamps compaired to a big ben.

I find the swamp things pretty great for just about anything I've thrown at them thus far.

I love swamps too, Andbig bens but the big Bens sound like bigger 12 inch speakers and have nice Mids.. Swamps are loud chunky Bassy beasts, they might mix well but give the legend 1518 a shot too

I managed to dial that out when I added another cab and changed up my amp's power distribution so the Swamps were being pushed considerably less. They sound soooooo good smoothed out. Though I could definitely live with that chunkiness if I had to.

Very sweet. Hopefully the speakers will come quicker than that finish took.

Oh no doubt! I just got word that the ported 212 cab has made it to canada safely. The client is probably going to have to go pick it up since he said UPS pretty much gave a single knock and then drove off.
