Those sound clips made me sooooooo excited! AHHHHHH
Fantastic, Franz, thank you for making this! Sounds great! I always hope you guys will make demos like this to really show the pedals off making music, so much better than my utility demos going through the controls. Nicely done buddy!breitnersn wrote:Ok, guys. I want to share some of my first impressions. I actually tried to shoot a short demo video. But I've never done this before. So I ended up with a tiny recording including 4 samples. All crackles are recording artefacts. Don't worry!
G&L Asat Special -> Dr. Scientist BitQuest -> Fender Deluxe Reverb
1. Filter / Clean Mode / Exp. Pedal
2. Flanger / Distortion Mode
3. Reverb / Clean Mode / Exp. Pedal
4. Bitcrusher / Clean Mode / Modulation
I definitely encourage you to use the BitQuest with an expression pedal, especially with the filter modes.
There are a lot of amazing possibilities in this pedal. They don't call it a quest for nothing!
The expression input takes over for a linear 50k pot, B50k, and the digital pot inputs are quantized to have a certain number of steps according to a certain value of resistance, so you want to stick to that 50k.. more probably wouldn't matter but less might not hit all the values between min and max. I still like the Moog EP-2, it's an adjustable 50k, TRS cable, beefy, and 50ish bucks.Holy Schnikes wrote:This may have been mentioned already but what value expression pot gives the widest/most appropriate sweep with your pedals Ryan?

I'll be checking in for your choices soon, dudes! I'll just get through the paid ones and then get yours and I'll make your pedals this week. Thanks for being patient with me! And thanks for the awesome looking boxes, you guys nailed it as usual!excane wrote:Love the toanz. :thumb:

Nobody in Australia ordered one yet.. it would be sweet as to send one there, far out Tom-o! (Been watching a lot of The Block, I got your slangs down. *smile*)tomlane95 wrote:that filter with exp pedal may well be the sound i have been looking for
Haha that's awesome, Ian, a Boromir meme! I love it! Thank you again and I hope you like your Frazz, prepare for palm mutes and power chords buddy!Gigahearts_FX wrote:So...I er... kinda ordered a Frazz from Ryan to accompany the BQ on its quest across the Atlantic...

Aww thanks Matt! The Frazz is definitely the Rodney Dangerfield of my line-up but I swear it rips harder than many many fuzzes, it's crazy high gain yet quiet, I love it. Maybe too grindy for the general public? Too intended for clean amp use? Too high gain maybe?goroth wrote:Good man!
It's the single most underrated pedal in the known universe. It destroys most everything. In most every way. Mostly.
