where'd you get that info? i'd love to read about it. never would've guessed, aside from how i'm one of the arrogant pricks who keeps in mind how the majority are less intelligent...

I can't cross-reference it. That's the only article I read. Those guys are good but are still liable to fuck up.

i guess i also should point out that by competition i mean superiority, not majority.

yah. i like dumb movies, as long as they're FUN movies. Expendables is a great example. they forgot what made 1 enjoyable and yeah... it was cute to see Van Damage as a villain, but everything in 2 was so flat and just awful.

Did you hear that they wanted that clown Chuck Norris so badly that they had to tone down the violence in order to convince him to join the cast? I don't know how true that is but it definitely isn't as bloody as the first one, yet there definitely seems like a bigger body count. Very disappointing film.
In Time was another incredibly disappointing film. It had such a clever storyline and a very Equilibrium visage to it, but it fell so fucking flat. I want them to remake that fucker with a proper cast and crew.

ugh. i like In Time for about the first 20 minutes? i actually usually enjoy Justin Timber The Lake. he's surprisingly fun to watch. he (and Ben Foster. looooooove Mssr. Foster. Pandorum YESH.) was one of the best parts of Alpha Dog. and good in Southland Tales.
but yeah. that movie had so much potential compared to the product.
i do love me some Amanda Seyfried tho. it actually had a decent cast.... i like 'Lake, love Seifried and Cillian Murphy.... maybe just a shitty director?
ugh. Equilibrium is that Emotion Suppression wannabe Matrix with Bale and Taye Diggs ne? that's.... that's another Good Idea + Horrible Execution = Shitty Movie thing. i had fond memories of it.... it being quirky not just awful. rewatched it a few months ago. it is BAD.
so BAD.

Ben Foster is always my favorite character in any movie he's in. Mechanic was better than most vapid Statham stuff, he was awesome in that. ditto Contraband. super meh but Foster is gooooooooooooood.

I have a soft spot for Equilibrium. I don't know why. It's just something I watch regularly and always enjoy, despite the tacky visuals and general smell of cheese.
Amanda Seyfriend annoys me. She was terrible in Red Riding Hood and In Time. No 'good' actor performs as badly as that, even when confronted with shit. Cillian Murphy is awesome, but he's been in a few passable movies. If you look at his IMDb page, it's littered with unknown movies that no one really gives a toss about. Well, at least speaking for myself.

He does some weird acting in one of his earliest films when he was still an unknown Irish actor. It's called Disco Pigs and is weird Irish cinema at its best; kinda like the Butcher Boy.

I can't remember who or when someone was talking about Ashton Kutcher and his new film playing Steve Jobs, but here is a video y'all should watch, especially if you didn't see Ashton Kutcher as anything more than a male version of *insert fake female celebrity here*.

i mean, yeah. i've heard he's really smart (Mensa level?) and not the moron he usually portrays. and that's cool that he took a platform like that and tried to drop Real Worlds Knowledge on all the kickens (whiiiich seeing as they only YEAHHHH'd at stuff like "about being sexy" mighhhht be fallin on deaf ears), but with a few exceptions i give a fuck what someone's like in their personal life.
Roman Polanski is a dirty shitbag child rapist that will hopefully burn in hell.
Sean Penn's entitled to his views and opinions but he's such an annoying dirtbag about expressing them that i have a hard time separating the art from the artist.
Bjork is perfect in every way a human/minor deity can be judged.
mostly i just care if they can act and make interesting movies/music/books/paper mache didlo art/whatevah.
