Re: the DOOM WORKOUT
75# for men. Snatch is a tougher lift, wide grip and you end up bringing the bar full overhead (easier when doing this power versus snatch with squat)
shit quality video but here is an example of a hang snatch

Re: the DOOM WORKOUT
Today's Workout
Warmup
2 rounds of:
10 x Jump Squats
10 x Sit ups
10 x Banded Thrusters
60 Singles or 30 Double Unders
WOD
Rep Scheme: 21-18-15-12-9-6-3
Wall Balls
Deadlifts
Box Jumps
18 min time cap
This was a Lurong Challenge WOD so there are 3 levels. Since I am not doing Lurong I can sort of do whatever with the setup. I did 24" box jumps, 105# deadlifts, and 14 lb medicine ball for the wall balls. That is kind of Level 2, except Level 2 had 20" box jumps and 20 lb medicine ball. L3 would have been 115# deadlifts, 24" box jumps, and 20 lb medicine ball. I finished this WOD in 17:27, almost thought I was not going to finish this one at the cap. I did mix in some step ups on the box jumps around round of 12 as I was having trouble breathing and had to slow it down to recover some breathe. Deadlifts were okay, only thing that is tricky is that they are light here so there is some emphasis on speed along with a shit ton of reps.

Re: the DOOM WORKOUT
Considering my upper body strength is roughly equivalent to a two year old... no?

that workout is not so much about strength as it is endurance.

trust me i am not strong in the upper body. 84 105# dead lifts are not about strength, all about endurance.

Re: the DOOM WORKOUT
105lb deadlifts are difficult for someone who has never deadlifted before, but if you've been doing it for a month and know how to warm up and perform the movement properly, 105lbs is not a huge challenge. It would definitely be about endurance.

true, I should preface that is what was proscribed from the mens weight. Womens was 65# at L2. The idea behind that WOD was endurance and not a purely strength thing.

Re: the DOOM WORKOUT
Today's Workout
Strength: 1 RM Strict Press: 20 min to establish a 1 RM.
Then
Tabata (20 seconds of work 10 second rest)
Back squat (95/65)
Row
Sit-up
**6 rounds for each*
Score for workout is minimum reps done in any single round.
So I was able to do 115# strict press for 2 reps overall but I couldn't put up 125#. Kind of disappointed I could not put that weight at least once.
Back Squats at 95# I did 8 minimum for 6 rounds, a few rounds at 9.
Rowing I did 45 cals total so if I assume equal division amongst rounds ~7.5 cal/round
Sit ups I did 11 minimum. Lost it on my last round here. 13,12,13,12,12,11.
