Big... lots of knobs... :!!!:

Yeah, even if he doesn't visit us that often, Mr. Marshall knows what we're looking for.

I'm going to guess the DLX will be $299. Seems like they're all gonna be right around the same price point.

(For real, excane. That middle eastern thing at the beginning of the Starlight bass video kills me every time.)

I think the Starlight DLX'll be more than $299 on account of it being "not dialed back"? Hopefully not too much more?

Damn it. I'm tempted to sell my Starlight Quantam and wait for the Dlx version.

Tempting plan. It could be a while before this hits the streets and it will be even longer before I can afford one, so I have time.

That was our original plan. I have spent months trying to get something to work in the same footprint as the QDLX/PDLX. There were just options I couldn't fit in there... Like a threshold/gate control on the A/DA. Originally I was going to have this set by a trimmer, but it is way too cool to have locked away like that, and would make using different guitars and effects before it a pain. It also really needed a volume knob.

It's going to be more expensive. I ordered more prototype PCBs yesterday. They are huge compared to our other pedals and will be expensive for production. I don't know what the price will be, but all the crazy prototyping on this has been expensive and time consuming. Much of it was trying to simplify a pedal that didn't want to be simplified... so we are going big. :D

BIG is not a problem if the inside is not empty (like those huge big muff or Death by Audio pedals).
The only thing that could stop me on this one, is the price.

I have to say, that always annoyed me as well. I like the novelty of it, but after a while you start to think that novelty isn't very practical or sensible.

If I had to pick one company to buy all my effects from, there's like a 75% - 100% chance I would pick Subby D's!

I've never been much of a flanger fan but the Starlight peaked my interest. Small with simple control set and a wide array of sounds and features.....ordered!

Now, where do you guys usually place a flanger in your chain? Post dirt/fuzz and Pre delay/verb is where my minimal amount of modulation generally resides....
