Seriously though, I thought I was nuts for thinking about getting a Polytope and Subterranea at the same time. Cause I'm totally thinking of doing that. I am actually torn about the SubT. Wondering how useful it would be in a noisy rock context. All the clips I've heard are way synthy.

I want to get myself a nice bass for my birthday in August. Something in the $500-700 range maybe. I really want a chocolate brown SG special bass but I don't like the Gibson 120th anniversary inlay.

Played a Fender reverse jaguar today and fell in love a little bit. The neck is chunky which I never thought I'd like, but after my Squier jaguar with the pencil neck, I want something more substantial. The reverse jag is also more balanced. I can find one on skeezbay for around 500 but I haven't seen one of those SG basses for less than 700.

Or maybe I could get a cheap bass and some pedals. But I really want a nice bass. I've never had a "nice" bass before.

If you don't have synth/keys/noises guy in yer band. It fits in quite nicely, I'd imagine the subterranea sounds evil stacked with fuzz, yer depth charge + that would move some bowels for sure

My Second Voice into my Depth Charge is pretty terrifying, so you're probably right. And I'm in charge of any crazy tones in my current thing. My guitar player just won't embrace the fuzz like I want him to. He's a multi fx guy. I'm trying to show him the light with some crazy shit.

On a related note, my board is gonna be pretty IE heavy in a few months. SubT, Polytope, and I almost forgot about the Frantabit. I liked the Nimbus but I really wanna try a Cadavernous before I decide.

And I'm sure Taylor has something up his sleeve now that things have gotten back to normal, so future GAS is already building up.

Yup, it's hard not to hit the knobs with my foot when stomping unless I'm paying attention. It's a tabletopper or amptop for sure.

I'm kinda in the same boat man, I showed my guitarist the Red Panda Particle, he loved it, bought one, now he's on his way towards the fuzzy light.

I realized when I got the Cadavernous that I never really liked my Nimbus clean, and it kinda ate my delay repeats for some reason. I have neither of those problems with Cadavernous. Keep in mind tho it can't get as wet as the Nimbus

I didnt have much use for the super huge settings anyways. I'm definitely renting one before I drop the full price though.

Do you find much use for the momentary swell thing?

Yeah for sure. I've found it useful for emphasizing certain notes or making chords huger.

It's definitely a lot more useable than the insta-oscillation buttons that a lot of builders are putting on delays these days, those get way too loud too quickly, limits the uses for it.
