Just got my Chronoblob. I'll try to plug it in this evening when I come back home :joy:.

The guy I got it from already has a DLD and just got a Rainmaker, hence delay overdose. 10HP is just fine for my case though :).
I've already got a PicoDSP and plan on getting the Intellijel 1U digiverb, so I'll end up with one dedicated reverb, one dedicated delay and a mutli-fx, which should suit me just fine. And then later on there should be the Folktek Mescaline too, which will probably be very cool as an effect processor too...

Earmarking for ILFSS because those are brilliant :p

Quick Chronoblob impressions : it's fun. Seems a bit noisy when cranking the feedback (because it goes out of the DSP and back in I guess, it would have been smart to detect when nothing is plugged in the feedback loop and stay in the DSP then but heh...). I'm basically feeding my whole patch into it now so I'm not really doing anything subtle but the hold button/trigger input can make anyone who likes glitchy stuff happy. Though it might be easy to abuse, got to be careful with this one. I haven't synced it to a clock source yet, that's next. Also, testing it as a vibrato now, seems to work ok.

I'll report once I use it with simpler sources...

Yeah, it works well as a vibrato, especially when fed a tracked and held/slewed noise source. Yummy.
Fucked up cassette player generator, and with some hold button mashing on top the cassette seems even more fucked up.

I need some sleep.

Curious to hear your impression once you feed it a clock.

I'm just trying to chill while my FLXS1 preorder gets off the ground and the Tetrapad makes its way to shelves.

dooood Chronobloobs is PIMP. such a fun delay. i havna noticed any noise, but i've been running pretty noisy shtuff into it? LOVE the hold. love it being subdivisions or multiples of a tempo i'm sync'ing other loots to.

WANT THE CRUSH HE HAS. NEEEEED IIIIIT.

Well, after reading that I tried it, feeding a simple kick drum type sound from Peaks triggered by one channel of Pamela's Workout and syncing the Chronoblob with almost the same clock (just more stable, the other one had some randomness). And then changing the pitch/decay and manipulating the delay.

It works really well, especially when using it in crossfade mode, so that you can change the time multiplication/division without getting annoying pitch shifts. And then using the hold button and tweaking the mix knob can be very fun too. You can end up with an evolving loop, though the behaviour is not the same as when using a delay with 100% feedback. I guess you have to get used to it and it seems a bit less controllable but it does work and you can do some pretty cool stuff. I spent quite some time doing that yesterday :). Changing the global tempo worked well too, the delay followed without any issue.

Overall, it's a really nice module so far. Limitations are the max delay time (2.7 seconds) when compared to pedals I'm used to like the DD-20 which has 23 seconds or so, and the feedback path being analog it gets a bit noisy with high feedback (it gets loud too :)). I haven't tried putting anything in the feedback loop but that can probably lead to very interesting results, especially when synced.

Im still waiting on one more module, so I will post more when it gets here, but for now I'll just say GOD DAMN I never thought square waves and a bi-polar VCA would caputre my heart so intensely
