Real talk. That's the strangest combination of effects. I'm going to listen to Dead Cross just to try to figure out that setup
My thoughts exactly.
Landed on Church of the Motherfucker before scrolling down.
That's pretty rad.

Jim Root's guitar and amp go around a lot for some reason, it's one of the few siggy models I see being used a lot next to the petrucci guitar and amp (because it's a mesa Mark IIC+ lol) and the Saint Vincent guitar.

They’re just really good honestly. It’s one of the few super metal oriented options that’s still a Fender and his Orange head does modern metal tones better than most Orange stuff. Slipknot is pretty objectively awful but at least they have cool gear.

I mean I grew up on metalcore and love a ton of stuff that’s just kinda not good due to nostalgia.

Came up in the age of nu metal. Had a friend whose favourite band to this day is Staind. I thought the first Mudvayne album and Iowa were interesting releases but the rest of it never spoke to me. But that's the same of every metal evolution, you get a handful of bands that explore new ground and then a bunch of imitators. Anyone remember the middle 6 thrash bands today?
But yeah, nostalgia is a killer.

This is probably the antithesis of how I would like my pedalboard to be, but it amazes me to see how Fripp meticulously sets up everything to have the exact sounds he wants.
