Make noise m2.5 (older may have used different)
Synthrotek m2.5
Trogotronic ("Swiss rails") M3
Pittsburgh cell90 (old flying buss board at least) 4-40

Befaco knurles are m3

I had to get all new screws off Amazon ... Got all nice black matching hex heads with black washers. Took a ton of time to find them on there because of the weird length. M2.5x8mm with 2.5x5mm washers are what ended up working well for the thick bastl panels and stuff.

For the cell, it was 4-40 x 5/16" that worked well with M3 washers.

Someone recommend a good multi VCA for my drums plz? So many options. Running Matter, TipTop BD, SD, and Hats.

Halp.

The tiptop should have basic vcas built in to them right? I assume this is mostly for the matter.

I'd say something with a vactrol/optocoupled. I've had traditional vcas click on short attacks (like the division6 Morpheum). Stuff like lxd, optomix, ryo aperture, doepfer LPG all work well. They will add some decay (which I usually like on drums) but that varies with the vactrol used (some add 200ms of decay, some less). They can also add some slight slew/dampening, or filtering if you want. The doepfer a-101-6 opto get filter can work like that in several modes (all pass, high pass, low pass combo vca).

Ah, good info. I've got my 6U almost full but haven't racked anything yet bc I'm trying to be patient and plug my monster in all at once. When my cloud and Pitts sequencer show up I'll have enough room for Conduit and a couple small utilities. Gonna look into the things you mentioned now and cop one of em.

Thanks!

i don't understand why modules or cases don't ship with washers. like. who doesn't use washers? and if you don't want to, cool. don't. but if you DO, now you don't have to source different length screws and all.

WEIRD.

ALSO. WHY NOT ONE STANDARD FORMAT/SIZE FOR STUFF. COME ON.

Ah yeah, that was that one indeed. My bad, not M2.5.
And because it uses a bastard unit it's almost impossible to find outside of the US I guess.

Yeah, there's lots of great modular synth library music.

I had that library music thread, but nobody really posted in it except for me. :idk: :snax:
