Lol, you use Ernie Ball? Sorry, I have never liked those strings.
Yea, given that 99.99% of the time I'm a broke bastard, that's about all I can afford. Don't know what else to try ether other than XL.
D' Addario strings I FEEL are much better, plus are cheaper.
+1
This. i get the bulk packs so it's like $4 a set and they rarely break, well sometimes but not nearly much as ernie/fender/dunlop strings. My favourites are Markley's but it's not enough of a difference to bother paying so much extra.

Ok, I'll try em. Seems like they have a skinny top, heavy bottom variant. If those break I'm gonna chalk it down to the guitar durping hard.

Where's the string breaking? If it's by the saddle, then you might just have a bur there that you can sand away.

Did anyone here grab the Peavey Century head that was on DC/NOVA Craigslist for $50 like not even overnight? I was gonna flag that one for KVLT-ists but it was gone.

^ What I've been using for years now. I've never broken a string but I change them out at least every 6 months.

Out: Flanger Hoax, Cheese Source, Particle

In: Gigahearts meatball!!

I know I'll regret losing the particle because it's unique, but meh. Wanted to try a meatball for literally years so this is exciting!

I really want an older Gibson bass. My friend is letting me borrow his ripper and it sounds way good. I've also played a G3 and a Grabber and they're both great. They're all thick sounded and I love their necks.
wish they were less expensive

I love the way those basses sound. They're going for over $2k here now which is ridic.

The bassist from Native plays a grabber or a ripper, I forget which. But their bass tones are MEAN.
