I can't decide between getting a Kaoss Pad or getting a reamp box, both of which would be used to process recordings. The former would be really fun and dynamic and I gather I could use its tactile pad to, say, control software effects parameters in my DAW. The latter I could use to run recorded tracks through my pedals and POD HD.
But also I haven't been making many new songs so maybe it would be a pointless purchase.

Wandered into a local shop with zero money and noticed they had a strymon El Capistan for sale. Looking closer, it was used and a good price. I tried it out and was really impressed. My board is now all about EAD 4096 cascading into the Strymon El Cap (with LSTR and B:assmaster for the dirt).
I also discovered something cool and weird (I'm a bass player so mock me if this old hat) I can set two delays to a point of self-oscillation and run a Univibe with depth maxed out (which sort of oscillates) into them. When the oscillation starts to fade, the Univibe starts to thump big booming pulses that slow down - almost like something running out of power/batteries. It almost sounds like my amp is blowing up. With fuzz, it's one of the most extreme and cool sounds I've ever found. Man I love pedals

Outgoing: Algal Bloom. I'm a little sad to see this go considering I just got it. I found a couple sounds yesterday that I really enjoyed but I've been lusting after a valve jr for years.
Edit: Forgot to mention the dude is throwing in new tubes with it!
The jump mod gives it a little more headroom with a tiny bit less volume. Still sounds good though!
