I guess the Custom District boards are even lighter though, or not?
Does he also supply cases and if so which kind, are they light weight as well?
My main gripe with Pedaltrain is the heavy cases and the fact they don't have a Mono bag for the Grande, besides that a Mono bag doesn't seem sturdy enough to me for airplane carry-on.

yeah. they're even lighter. he sells soft cases for his boards i think. and Jean found a place that made him a really nice padded case for his Extended Cab Custom board.

Okay, I need 2 of of these... just the top portion with the holes. Maybe 18" x 7". I am going to build a dual-level pedalboard using Cherry wood for the outside but wanted to do something more secure for the actual pedal surface so I can bolt my pedals on instead of using velcro. So if I had these I could mount them in the inside of the board with the wood outside and it would be perfect... so... best/cheapest bet on finding 2 pieces of metal at these sizes with holes like this? Is this something a local metal working shop could do for me?

Did you buy two just incase one breaks or do you have something sinister up your sleeve that requires 2?

That's said I'm like 90% sure someone will come through and tell me how I'm wrong and it turns out x other pedal did it THIS WHOLE TIME.
Yo my Bass Big Muff did this the whole time you must be retarded
ugh two cabs I was watching on ebay finished with zero bids and got relisted while I was at work. I could have snagged those dammit!

I wanted to have one earli-ish in the chain for subtle chorus, human voice type vibrato and lesliesque wobbles (my presets basically) and another one at the end for the crazier asymmetrical waveform type stuff possibly modulated by my Moog pedals, 8Step, etc. or coupled with the Koma Delay and the MASF Raptio to create really lo-fi glitchy warped dusty vinyl sounds. Both sync'ed.
Well tha'ts the idea, it might evolve in something more sinister - I have other ideas.

well, honestly, i'd get at Elon from Custom District (
http://www.customdistrictpedalboards.com/ ) about it. it's his design so he's going to do the best job without having to worry about miscommunicating with someone that doesn't usually do stuff like that. and i'd assume it'd be cheaper since he's already set up to work in that milieu? plus, he's just the nicest guy and not only worked with me so much on what i needed, but took every idea i had and made it better.
he rokks.
like BIRDS.

Thanks, yeah I already emailed him about fabricating these 2 pieces for me. I also contacted a local sheet metal fabricator to see if they can do it and what kind of cost it would be. I'm really excited about this because I have been running through my head what the best method would be for the "shelf" portion of the pedalboard would be... I think this is the answer.

NICE. yeah, i mean. it was seriously awesome to work with Elon. he got back to me super quick. and the best part was someone that really knows what they're doing taking something i needed and the way i though would be best and showing me a much more elegant and useful solution.
could not be happier with how it turned out. really looking forward to getting a souped up pimperish Pro sized board off of him.

Still long-term GAS for a Catalinbread Pareidolia Harmonic Mesmerizer. I feel quite bloated.
