I took that video to be more of a Bargain Basement Sam Kinison version of "it's the wizard not wand." Anathema to a lot of gear heads and gear forums, but typically true.

I know a lot of people who've gone down that road, actually. It's just a different manifestation of climbing a peak without a summit.

Yeah, I totally get that. That's the way I see it, just go and have fun, don't spend your days trying to build the rig that will get the most upvotes on reddit

lol. i guess it bothers me mostly because i realizes how central drugs were to EVERY story he did, then it got to where there was always a character popping up and accidentally dosing an older, more straight laced person and suddenly THEIR WORLD IS PERFECT.
annnnnnd then the next two books of his i read were almost identical, but with fitness.
