Wow. Adoption takes some time. Wait...didn't your wife just have another? Sorry if I missed something. More the merrier!! I want to adopt a son since apparently I can't have one. Not sure if my wife is game for it though. It's a tough thing to talk about. I got the ole snip a couple years ago (I think it's been) and have 3 girls. I bet the 4th would have been a boy.

I'm screwed now anyway on that front. The snipping is reversible, but hormone treatments aren't. I'm pretty well sterile at this point. Kind of sucks. Always wanted a son.

There is no way I am having a child of my own creation, but apparently they won't snip me at my age unless I have children. My lady and I have talked about it many times and we're just planning on adopting in our thirties.

i think if you insist enough times they have to? it's such bullshit. let the boys and the grrLs have control of their own bodieseses.

Wife's sister has been getting fucked up so we went and got the kids. The girl's dad is cool. Had 50/50 custody, so she is being taken care of but the boy is 6 and his dad has only seen him once....has nothing to do with him so we are most likely keeping him.

We had the kid for two weeks and two days ago sis in law gets busted.....four counts of meth and two gun charges. She already had a felony. So she is gone.

But wait there's more. All of a sudden the boy's dad wants him. Wants to move him to Texas. Reportedly he's an alcoholic and he has really only seen this kid once in his life. We've practically raised him....but he's got dad rights.

BUT THERE'S MORE!!!! Kid's dad is dating/living with a chick that the state has taken FOUR kids away from. Truly psycho. I talked to DCFS and they said they are very familiar with her. They're "looking into it".

So the kid is here but we don't know what's up.

Yeah wow, I guess I can only send good vibes to you, and hope that the little people's best interests are met. It would be good if the boy was brought up by your family fully, you are the uncle and your wife's the aunt. Still, Dad has the right and responsibility of Dadhood, and his gf isn't the motherly type i assume.
