I honestly wouldn't buy One used. I bought a different bugera New again - but Hey we have 3 Year guarantee here...
To be honest I think what Bugera means is that it was cheaper for them to trash it and give you a new one. But that's kinda what I was getting at - the circuit is so dead simple that I even think I could probably fix it, unless one of the transformers went. But new shit dying does suck big time and shouldn't happen regardless of the price point really, cos it's just bad QC. Played a gig with a band with 1 guitarist running one of those V55 things, and it sounded insanely good. If it was a single channel amp I woulda bought it.
Yup, I'm definitely inclined to agree with you goroth. Whenever I've tried out Bugeras they sounded awesome! I remember a/bing their v22 against some nice Marshall amps and the v22 sounded so much nicer  The internet rumor mill tends to get out of hand when it comes to any sort of QC problems.
what part of my statement you don't understand?
If you buy cheap, you buy twice.
The 1960 was originally under 300 EUR street price. And no, i didn't get a new one. I got the money back. After 5 months of wait. At that time the new street price was 400 EUR. But beside that i wouldn't have bought another one of these after this experience anyways.
If you have money to burn, go ahead and get one. I would invest in sth. more reliable...

And as side note on the 1960: it is by far the less ballsy take on a plexi i ever played...
I'm sorry that your experience was so crappy Univalve

I'm just looking for something with that's loud, cheap and sounds good. I haven't quite made up my mind yet because I'm still selling stuff to get funds. This just looks like a good option because it seems to meet those criteria, and I'd have enough money left over to pick up a cab of some kind to run it through. I'm definitely going to keep looking to see if I can find something better, though.

May I recommend Kustom stuff? It isn't really more expensive than the bugera stuff, but it seems like they have better QC. Maybe you can get a used double cross or one of those 100w defenders? I have the 15w defender and love it.

In: Cheese Source clone from Gigahearts FX. Seems like a really cool pedal, the big cheese gets pretty heavy! Plus it's in a huge box for huge tone.

Hopefully an obscure fuzz I've been after will soon be incoming

Also, thinking I need a telecaster of sorts with p90's.
...and a hard tail bridge for my semi hollow but I'm scared to try the install.
