Re: ILF Secret Satan feat. Rob Thomas—Put Your Junk in That
I click "full editor", because I'm going to write an actual post for once, rather than a short comment on something.
First of, I'll just say that this is one of the most thought-through, heartfelt gifts I've ever gotten. Lets throw in some pics:

The package itself. Excellent wrapping paper game. Love it. Are the smaller gifts inside wrapped in the same manner?

You know it! Wonder what's in them...

First off, a letter that looks like the world's nicest serial killer wrote it. There was also another letter at the end explaining everything. Very sweet, I'm not crying, it's just a lot of sand in here blowing in my face.

Coffee Crisps!
Excellent. Fancy tea?! Hell yeah! A contact mic that I just used for a later gift. Perfection. Two flashdrives, one containing music, the other containing Canadian TV-shows. I will dive into these with all my life and energy. Thank you for putting in the time!

Apparently these are spirograph sets? I have to google that, but I am stoked to use them for whatever sorcery they do.

Taaaaaapeeees!!! From friends of Heraclitus, no less. As a tape listener, I am looking forward to diving into these! New music is often the best music.

Wait, a pedal already? And one that our resident chinese pedal junkie describes as "the best cheap reverb I've found"?!?! Hell yeah! I haven't had a reverb in ages, and just had a lot of fun with this. I'm not putting it on the board, this is the "if you're playing in my house, this is our reverb" pedal. And it's really impressive from the short time I've had with it.

A book I've never heard of. I love books. This one sounds really interesting. Canada seems to love it. I will read it this holiday.

Dude. This is a pedal I have wanted for ages. I'm sure you know that. Midfi doesn't ship to Europe. Finally I can rock this, and play the off-brand Lightning Bolt-riffs I've always wanted to play. If you've seen my posts the past year, you'll know that this is spot on.
But wait, there is one more thing...

Heraclitus, are you insane?! This is the most beautiful kalimba I've ever seen. "Everyone should have a kalimba," you say. Well, now I agree. It sounds great, and with the help of your contact mic I ran it through the Cuvave Reverb and had an excellent little holiday jam.
I mean, dude. I've had a semi-rough year, as I'm sure many of us have had. This package of excellence gave me genuine joy, and went above and beyond what I was imagining. Thank you, friend. May your Coffee Crisps ever be crunchy and your fuzz slay all that is bad in the world. You not only made my day, but my entire holiday season.

That's an amazing haul! Well played, Mr Akimbo!
My parcel is stuck in transit at.... You guessed it, fucking Jamaica, NY. I swear to Satan, that place deliberately holds everything I import and export hostage for way longer than necessary. The bane of my existence. I need a satanic miracle for it to reach my mark in time now. Someone hold a ritual for my gift. 1 like = one sacrifice to the guy downstairs

Re: ILF Secret Satan feat. Rob Thomas—Put Your Junk in That
So I have no self-control and just couldn't wait any longer! I tore into the box and found a bunch of wrapped presents and a card from Aedes! And I got to say they killed it!

First one contained some chocolate, which I immediately dug into and can confirm are very tasty:

And some snacks for the pups, which explains why he was so interested in some of these packages! He hasn't gotten to try it yet (hence the grumpiness), but is still very thankful:

Some hot sauce, which I am very excited to try:

And one of my all time favourite books:

That being said, I have read this and have a copy, so if anyone is interested hit me up with your address and I'll forward it on to you! It's a seriously good read and has definitely given me a lot of new songwriting ideas
A wall hanger:

I've been meaning to grab a few of these at some point. My wife will appreciate this one since I have guitars all over the house. Honestly, not sure why I haven't bought any yet
Some kick ass Black Midi merch!

I actually hadn't heard about the whole Orange Tree Boys thing, but looked it up and this is pretty great: https://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/m ... evitation/
Also, the hat actually fits, which is surprising because my head is stupidly large
My favourite kind of Coffee, Black and heavily distorted:

And last, but certainly not least an EQD Swiss Things! Incredibly stoked on this one! I was definitely about to pull the trigger on one of these after the holidays. Time to go plan/rearrange my pedalboard!

And all together:

A big thank you to Aedes!!!

Holy smokes tiny pics. See link below pics for real size I think.
Not one but two pedals I was verrry intrigued by - pro stalking. Having had 2 evenings to play a tiny bit, both are a lot of fun! Plus, excellent tshirts, 2 hot sauces I like, a hilarious looking book.
many thanks!

Re: ILF Secret Satan feat. Rob Thomas—Put Your Junk in That
I'm back to working from home today, which gave me the time to put together a quick little pedalboard to test out the Swiss Things; running my JM into a Tetanus Booster to the input of the Swiss Things, a Pig Pile in Loop A, a CT5 in Loop B, output A to DRRI vibrato input, and output B to a Dispatch Master to the DRRI normal input. So many options in one little box! And flexi-switching with both the CT5 and the Pig Pile is pretty glorious!

Wow. What amazing gifts! I can't believe people got them and popped them right open. I'll wait til the big day (it isn't my holiday anyway, so it'll be fun to run downstairs and experience opening a gift on that day)...maybe the night before I'll put it outside under a tree to get the full experience??!?!
I'm surprised we've had no unboxing videos. Would be super fun to see people open and go what is this...and then oh wow! Capture those vibes as they happen in real time. I'll try to try to do a video.

That's what I've usually done. Might make a video if it gets here in time. Got to have the Xmas vibe in my bones.
