Personally I'd dig a latching switch over momentary but it sounds like you have some shit to deal with if you do that. Not a big enough deal to me to say work it out. LOL.
I agree-a latching option would allow you to have the effect engaged, and free your foot to stomp on other pedals if you wanted to add additional layers to the sound. Momentary is certainly a very cool and useful option as well, allowing you to easily add erratic spontaneous bursts of staticky fizz whenever you want.

So, both options would be great to have, but having no latching option wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me.

My thoughts as well!

Do the wet-only modes produce the Raptio-type of glitch? Can you get the same type of sound in the wet+dry modes, by turning down the dry level knob all the way?
Not in the current version (if I understand the question right)
in the wet+dry modes the wet mode only puts out audio when a loop is engaged.
In the new version, it will be as you described above. You can just turn down the dry channel.

The right switch is latching? I was going from the description from the Stammen manuel which says, "Both switches are momentary and can be used at the same time." for the ST mode. Also in Ugly Casanova's demo, he holds both switches (momentary use) during his demonstration of the ST mode. Also after re-watching his demo, I 'd say the coolest part of this mode is the right footswitch chopping the frozen signal. The left footswitch chopping the dry signal sounds awesome as well! They're both really cool effects.
You're right they are momentary ... :-)
I got a little confused after working on the new one

This sounds very, very cool! I loved the glitcholay patch from listening to the Molecular Compactor demos, and I bet it would be a really cool function in a Stamen V2!
Would the 4 hold/freeze functions still be available?
Yes these are unchanged for the time being

yeah thats really amazing. I dont know if its the sounds or the imagery that does it for me but that is a ton of fun to watch/listen!

Thanks dudes!
My hope was that the visuals/audio would mesh and enforce each other.
Since the Stamme[n] takes jagged chunks of audio (loop modes) or small
bits of audio to create a smooth wash (freeze/hold modes) I felt like
animating rocks (jagged chunks) and sand (tiny bits forming smooth forms)
would work out pretty well. I just moved around the driftwood just cuz.

Happy coincidence!
Stammen means (tree) trunk in Norwegian.
It can also mean tribe, which is why it is called that (tribal rhythm stuff)
It has the brackets around the letter N because Stamme means stutter, as in the speech impediment. Much clever. Such play on words.
Trivia of the day.

these are pretty, but I use momentary switches. The issue with adding another LED is not so much mechanical but I would need a bigger microprocessor with more in/outs and redesign the whole board

Here to doubt the stutter etymology.

Ha! Well it's fortuitous that all that driftwood washed up to complete the virtuous circle of puns!

To steal David's thunder, I'll list the new features:
- Expression control over the big knob.
- No more bypass footswitch. It now functions more like a MASF Raptio (only when you engage your desired effect are the wet and dry knobs representative of what you'll hear)
"New" mode 1: Tap Tempo
- This is a
single streamlined version of the four modes found on V1.
- The 4 different glitch modes from V1 are now all packed into 1! No need for two modes to remove the dry signal and no need for different modes for momentary and latching. A fast tap of the right switch gives you latching glitch, a longer press gives you momentary. Wet and Dry knobs set the desired levels for the stuttering effect. Think of it like a Raptio in glitch mode, but with tap tempo and optional latching mode.
New mode 2: Random Tempo
- Each time you engage the glitch effect you get a different sample lenght.
- Max random sample size is set by big knob.
- Left footswith adds pitch wobble and makes it degrade a bit more each time you press it.
New mode 3: GlitchoLay
- The Pitch Glitcholay patch from the Molecular pedals, adapted to Stamme[n].
- The big knob sets the rate at which the glitch changes and also increases the randomness of glitch occurrences.
- The left footswitch makes it self-oscillate and adds an octave up that gets pitched up each time it feeds itself its own signal.
New mode 4: Tape Loop
- A tape loop, like the new patch David did for the Moleculars, only with no control for the sample length, only the tape speed.
- The right footswitch engages the effect.
- Left footswitch loops the sample.
