Ok, buddy. I was saying that I don't need your ok, to know that it's ok for me to post whatever i want to. I normally wouldn't reply the way I did, but given your arrogant attitude on the last page and self-indulgent posts about fucking hats, I somehow felt inclined to. As for me being a turd? I'm actually a pretty decent guy, but you somehow strike me a someone who doesn't pick up on things like sarcasm that well, which might have led you to believe otherwise.

You know, Idiot. You may go through life and think people don't realize how hard you work at being a turd, but we notice. So mission accomplished I guess?
It's really hard to tell if there's marked hostility in this because of actualidiot's username lol. Those things are nuts though, my initial "What synth can really be worth $20k?" was answered pretty quickly after listening to one.

There wasn't. I was confused as to why echo was telling me that it was ok for me to post that. My username is self-deprecatory and more Dostoyevsky The Idiot (I haven't read that book, and only just now looked it up cause I had a hunch it was relevant) than it is the type of idiot that's synonymous with asshole.
To add to my post above; my humour is incredibly dry at times, but I don't mean any harm with my bad jokes, cause I actually really like the dudes on this forum. I omit stuff like emojis intentionally, as to make the humour even drier (which is funny in my world). I realize that could mean my stuff is taken the wrong way at times, especially if people only frequent the General Gear forum, but I also feel like I make sure to show that I'm not an asshole to those I converse with more often. People in general are quick to assume the worst about people, instead of trying to actually lend an opinion. At least that's my experience.

I just now realized that Olin was referring to echo's post and not mine. So much for being on the defense. At least I got to make my case.

Geez...I don't know what's the worst part of this---the total lack of self-awareness, the staggering hypocrisy, the whininess, or is it the delusional condescension?
Maybe if you weren't so consumed by trolling at 4am...5am...8am...you'd benefit from a little more clarity.

Here's another update from Superbooth. Arturia's doing a limited run of their tabletop units in a black finish. Some dealers have even started to received their first units.

When I originally saw the Ondomo (modern analog take on the Ondes Martenot), I was bracing for a $6000-7000 price tag. Considering these are hand-built in Japan and produced in limited quantities, €2,000 is fairly reasonable. It isn't pocket change, but it's not nearly the unobtainable luxury that I was expecting.

Some of you guys saw this in 2016, when the Kickstarter campaign was getting so much press. It's finally supposed to be nearing availability (for backers & new customers).
€329 for the 'Peans & roughly $379 USD for the norte-americanos (shipping & conversion calculated)

It's certainly not the most versatile synth in the sub-$500 range, but it's one of the most user-friendly and aesthetically-pleasing items, that you're going to find in a budget model marketed at hobbyists and students.
The DUO is a dual-sided unit, so it can be used as a duet instrument, or as a learning tool for kids and noobs. It's definitely a conversation piece for people on the lookout for creative and colorful tools.
