Shame about the Metro, but your power scaling is a dream. You have the Shiv, the Metro, the V2, and then you'll have the Decolonizer. :yay:

Agreed. It's like everything I could possibly need in most any situation. That's the goal at least. ;)

Thanks uni, will do! It's coming along pretty well, joined about a month ago. They had a couple songs written when I joined and we've written a couple more since. I just wanna play out again ASAP.

My Decolonizer arrived yesterday, sounds fucking great! Clean channel with 'mid-scoop' mod for dual voicings (Plexi and Fender), achieved with a push/pull Gain knob, plus a 3-way bright switch. Tons of versatility here, makes for a dreamy pedal platform.

Dirt channel is dual mode as well with an OD ranging from clean-ish to beefed up JCM800 and a high gain that goes all the way into Bogner XTC/Soldano territory. Screams! Has a really nice low-mid presence too, lets it sound totally girthy without getting too bassy and loose. Again, lots of versatility in this channel.

I really love the look of Alex's amps too, just gorgeous inside and out. The faceplate and rear panel were done up in a sexy Slate Bronco/Levant tolex I tracked down, turned out killer.

Thanks Danny!

It really is fantastic, sounds incredible. It's like having 4 amps in one but at the same time a really straightforward no nonsense design as opposed to a buncha useless options/features/toggles/etc.

The cleans are wonderful, chimey and full with tons of EQ variety thanks to the mid-cut/Fender option. The mild-medium gain is very dynamic and sweet sounding. High gain is crushing and thick but can be very articulate as well. There's no sacrifice to cleans or gain with this amp, both sound killer, something many 2-channel amps don't achieve imo. Oh, and it loves pedals. Just running everything straight in thus far, need to throw a delay and reverb in the loop soon.

Love the 4xKT88 power section as well, glad I went that route.

I edited my post...they are making a 2x15 cab with kappa drivers to go along with the mother for bass.

No you coming by my place (we can crank it in my basement) and running your decolonizer and the mother in a stereo setup will rule.

After reading through this thread (and therefore listening to the Kidcrash discography for at least a week), I definitely want a Mother. Quick question, how will it handle bass in drop F in a doom setting? Right now I'm using a Bassman 100 at home and I'm looking for loud and clear with good fuzz/od response. Also, I'll probably use it with a Bass VI or 4 string in Eb standard for punk/hardcore/emo sort of stuff. All of this through an Ampeg 810.

Alex sent some demos on bass to me and they sounded glorious esp withy the overdrive channel. I play a 5 string in a thrash metal band so I will report back once it comes in.
