I think it would be cool if aen picked this up and did it with some of the builders here in addition to the ones that had previously been on board. I would sell body parts to get a console with the option to get carts of say, ssstampede, Fuck, Mini, Hax, Soda Meiser, Cosmichorus, things like that. It would be a really cool way to pair some smaller guys with bigger guys in the industry and get them some exposure, especially with the low cost of the carts themselves. Shit would be so cash.

Of course, I could only see this happen if the folks over at Dwarfcraft/Devi Ever deemed it a good idea financially. Maybe they could make Consoles seasonal like the manglers are gonna be? Just a thought.

$ for other stuff was the reason behind its death. :(

Kinda sad, hopefully the cash from this crooked ebay adventure makes it into the right hands, just the thought of her profiting a single penny off of this would make me sick if I had any money into this.

She's probably selling the stuff to pay all of the backers back. At least, I would hope. It does frustrate me that those are obviously WORKING. If they would just be built up, and I was sent a Cart II, I would be happy. Because that's what I paid for.

seems like that's the case:

I am not selling these for personal gain or profit. I want to be very clear about this. I obviously can not somehow magically split these prototypes evenly to give to the supporters I owe money to, so I think it makes perfect sense that the prototypes be sold and money then given to the backers.

What are the laws around re-purposing these commercially? Does the Console design still belong to Devi, is it part of Dwarfcraft now? I suppose the laws with protecting the designs are pretty loose.

I just want to see someone make this happen. Fuck if I can be really good about saving money for the next couple of months I'd be down to pitch in financially and help get this running if I knew someone that could handle the design and manufacturing. I feel like Dwarfcraft is already so busy as is but hopefully this project is feasible for them.

Honestly I think it just came down to Devi not having enough money to pay Kenfinem to actually finish it. He was chugging along at it until $ ran out

That's right! Totally forgot Ken was doing the designing and building. Now he seems busy too but I feel like he's always super busy with the crazy projects he has in the works. Still hope this happens somehow.

The other hurdle I see in all of this, is that the people that are gonna have an interest in these auctions, are most likely going to be the same people that have invested money into it. I don't see these things being "collectable" as stated, to me the "devi" name is worth no more than the toilet paper that I wipe my ass with.

You should demand one of these skully, not quite sure what else they need to function, and by the sounds of the description, they may not function at all, but if all they need is an enclosure, that wouldn't be to bad.

You know, I was just thinking about that. I could build one up and if it worked, cool.

I would buy the shit out of a Dirge Console.

Then again with my track record I'd buy the shit out if anything Dirge makes.

Ha. I mean really honestly, all it would take is the measurements for the enclosure, and then figuring out the cartridges and how they work with the potentiometers. But I really don't have time to figure out something that should have been figured out by someone else

Also, in those auctions, Devi states that she's licensed her designs and name to Dwarfcraft. I thought they'd purchased them outright.
