That's part of what I like about it - nobody really does point/click games like that anymore. Most of them are garbage, so there is a good reason noone does them. I am really into the show, so this just adds another cool way to enjoy the Walking Dead. My wife actually sits down and watches me play every now and again, which is something she never does (unless I'm a dork and want to show her something neat in the game).Ryan wrote:I didn't think AC3 was that good but it's not really my style of game... same with Dishonoured... just not for me. I didn't like how Walking Dead isn't really a game, just a bunch of quick-time events, that's no fun! (my opinion is always purely as a viewer, not actually playing any of the games I talk about)
Dead Space 3 is ok, doesn't seem much different than 2 though...
So did anybody get into Aliens Colonial Marines?? It's ok.. it could have/should have been better... check out this hilarious review of it:

I balled my eyes out at the 'first' ending. But I did it with my mouth agape. It was shocking to say the least. I loved that game overall and I can't wait to see what Rockstar do with it next.t-rey wrote:Finally beat Red Dead Redemption! The real ending is soooooooo good. Now I'm just gonna go around and rob banks and shit. Hoping for a couple of new games for Christmas (Dishonored and Assassins Creed 3). Also have Fable 3 and Forza 4 to get into. And I kinda want to start playing the Walking Dead game.
I've almost finished Hitman: Absolution. I've been enjoying it greatly, but some of the achievements are so hard I was almost in tears. There is one particular achievement about two thirds of the way through, called One Man Riot. You need to find a glass shiv and silently, without being detected once, kill 11 guards in a small area. It would be more manageable, like any game, if it had a quick save function, but my goodness it was hard.space6oy wrote:i was overall disappointed in AC3 in comparison to the 2 trilogy.
playing hitman: absolution now, just occasionally, glad i'm not addicted to it. it's pretty badass per usual though. and freaking tough...
That's a cools lice of knowledge. His pedals are the shit. I've never been able to play one, but they sound amazing from what I can tell. They are built really well, and designed meticulously. Reminds me of someone.Ryan wrote:Did you give Far Cry 3 a shot yet, Trey? Interesting tidbit about the game, and I think I'm right about this, you know the pedals called Sonic Crayon, the designer is named cloudscapes on forums? He worked on the game, in Montreal, with UbiSoft... cool hey!t-rey wrote:My brolo (HA! The League) raved about Far Cry 3. I may have to give it a shot when/if I ever catch up on my ever expanding backlog of games.
I've been watching lots of Dead Space 3, pretty cool game. I like the series, awesome premise, love the space religion mystery, and it's cool that the main guy is named Isaac Clarke.. same last name.
Yeah man - that ending was really amazing.AngryGoldfish wrote:I balled my eyes out at the 'first' ending. But I did it with my mouth agape. It was shocking to say the least. I loved that game overall and I can't wait to see what Rockstar do with it next.
I've head The Walking Dead is a tear-jerker all right. I'm dying to play it. Is it PC intensive?t-rey wrote:Yeah man - that ending was really amazing.AngryGoldfish wrote:I balled my eyes out at the 'first' ending. But I did it with my mouth agape. The ending to The Walking Dead is a real tear jerker too.
Currently playing Darksiders - pretty cool so far but definitely a shameless God of War ripoff in a lot of ways (not saying that's a bad thing)
That Katana was really fun—brutal, but fun.space6oy wrote:re: hitman, at least on normal the main storyline was fun & not too frustrating... what i've stuck with occasionally taking on is going back through to pull off each level's challenges. have finished all of 'em in the first four, working on the fifth now. some of those are just nuts, like the swordplay 3 in chinatown having to kill all 3 guys with the katana while wearing the freaking chipmunk suit? craziness. can't imagine pulling them all off on tougher settings.
meant the first four mission/chapter/level's challenges, but i was actually off. had already done all of the first five, hence the katana. working on the sixth now, rosewood. killing fifteen times using one syringe is twisted but funny,,,AngryGoldfish wrote:That Katana was really fun—brutal, but fun.space6oy wrote:re: hitman, at least on normal the main storyline was fun & not too frustrating... what i've stuck with occasionally taking on is going back through to pull off each level's challenges. have finished all of 'em in the first four, working on the fifth now. some of those are just nuts, like the swordplay 3 in chinatown having to kill all 3 guys with the katana while wearing the freaking chipmunk suit? craziness. can't imagine pulling them all off on tougher settings.
Yeah, the challenges are hard. They're rewarding and fun because it makes you play the game in different ways, but they're definitely not for the faint of heart. Some of the highest scorers must have learned each NPC's movements and timed everything perfectly. There's no way in heck you'd be able to simply jump into a map with a fresh set of eyes and complete it without slipping up. Literally impossible.
When you say you've finished the first four, what do you mean?

That's what I love about the Hitman games. They're actually really funny. Absolution was a lot more serious and dark compared to Blood Money, but it still has a few LOL moments.space6oy wrote:meant the first four mission/chapter/level's challenges, but i was actually off. had already done all of the first five, hence the katana. working on the sixth now, rosewood. killing fifteen times using one syringe is twisted but funny,,,AngryGoldfish wrote:That Katana was really fun—brutal, but fun.space6oy wrote:re: hitman, at least on normal the main storyline was fun & not too frustrating... what i've stuck with occasionally taking on is going back through to pull off each level's challenges. have finished all of 'em in the first four, working on the fifth now. some of those are just nuts, like the swordplay 3 in chinatown having to kill all 3 guys with the katana while wearing the freaking chipmunk suit? craziness. can't imagine pulling them all off on tougher settings.
