Oh I forgot about Schecter! I used to own a COUGH guitar COUGH of theirs. Loved it.

I've tried many Ibanez's and while some of the top of the line ones sound pretty damn good, their thin necks and tight spacing kill it for me.

Dude, if you want tight string spacing, just get a Bass VI. Theyre nice and tight, and you can just tune it B-B instead of E-E if you need the low B.

My Warwick Thumb5 is nice and tight. It's what I'm most comfortable with as I also have short fingers. If you can dig the inherent Warwick tone, I know it's not for everyone.

:thumb: the older style sound gear necks [the new cheap ones are not as slim, they like suck ass and stuff] are so nice, fast and tight spacing, my SR646 has a faster neck than a lot of 5 strings.. :animal:

^^^ I was about to suggest this. I think the Thumb5 is one of the tightest spacings for a 5er you can get. The issue is can you work with the weird ergonomics and they aren't always the cheapest...

Yep. Kinda regret trading mine. Was a good bass.

I'm taking my thumb5 to my grave. It was my first expensive instrument and pretty much what I learned to play on. I have a hard time playing normal string spacing a because of it.

Nope, give me my clunky baseball bat necks. Anything thinner feels horrible.

It has warmed up here now, -9F/-30F with windchill. When I left the house at 7:30 it was -13F/-40F with windchill. I crossed paths with a guy on a bike.
