Chicks better dig flangers. Otherwise I'm in trouble.

So I want a decent 5-6 string with tighter string spacing. Don't care about active/passive as long as it has enough output. Right now I own a Jackson bass, that real tight string spacing (not sure about the actual measurement) but most 5's I've tried are too fucking wide. I want a good extended range bass. I'd prefer it not be ridiculous expensive as well. I know right??? Picky fuck.
Out of the question
Stingrays (you have to have fingers that I don't to be comfortable with those fuckers)
Dingwall (I too stupid)
Roscoe (too much!)
LOL
Seriously though. Suggestions?

Ibanez SR? Their six sting was pretty tight from I remember trying.
Either that or do some stretches and exercises for your fat fingers...

My fingers are not only fat, they are short.
I'll look into the Ibanez though!

Schecter Stiletto Studio 5 nut is pretty narrow.
