I feel like this has to be brought to general gear. I jumped out of my seat when I saw it

Looks like something you have to be a master of the knob twisting to really use to it's full potential. Might be a perfect thing for a tabletop synth type deal, with the MIDI and shit.

It seems like at a certain point, Strymon decided that a rich green wasn't militarized enough, so they went with a tank green. However I see a lot of photos that look like a bronzed green, or a really faded yellow-green. I'm really not a fan of the masticated-baby-food-goo-green. So if I were to buy a 2016 Brigadier with soft switches, exactly what would I be buying?

Question #2: how many different color variations are there of the Brigadier?
Question #3: is this shade of green really that difficult to capture in different settings?
Question #4: has the Brigadier circuitry changed in any way over the years, or are the soft switches the biggest functional difference?

From left-to-right, here are 3 examples of pictures supplied by Strymon. (left) from the Strymon blog, dated May 2010. (center) from the official Strymon store page. (right) from the Strymon Brigadier product page

You've got a bright, candy green, followed by a duller green (same color, different lighting?), followed by tank/ military fatigues green.

When you start looking at Brig pics from official dealer pages, it only gets more confusing.

Me earlier today: "yeah man, I think I'm good with buying pedals for a while, maybe I should just play acoustic instruments from now on..."

Me right now: "I think I know where those paypal dollars are going."

I'm really on the edge of wanting/not wanting to sell my Drone Commander. I love it, but I haven't turned it on in months so I'm not sure if I should sell it or not.

You know, to be honest, sometimes I have gear just sitting there for weeks and I never use it. Then one day I totally feel it and jam out on it constantly. Like with my SK-5 just now the other day. Haven't really played it in a few weeks before putting that tiny synth board together. I actually haven't played guitar now because of it, it's just so much fun! I guess my point is that different gear is in different times. Sometimes my music is ambienty and glitchy, but other times I like to doom out. And I really like that I keep my doomier stuff around for when I do

Hey ILF; I'm really not trying to be a dick and I think their pedals are drool worthy, but I have a question: how does Spaceman effects justify their price for the regular fuzzes? Like, I feel like I've missed where the magic is? Do they have insanely rare transistors? Are they original designs that took ages to invent? Do they use technology that is something other than is used by other companies, like say the dr.sci Heisenberg?
