That honestly doesn't sound black metal. Ain't this the pedal that was only named black metal because the name they chosen was taken. so they picked black metal. they wanted to call it black something else. Actually I'm certain it's that because I argued with someone who suggested it for someone to get a 2nd wave sound. This is not that. the guys who did the pedal literally had no idea what black metal was. who they hired for the design is who threw on the pentagram.

I don't know the history of it. I really just dig the nastiness of it. Got a good deal on it so I figured why not.

Plus I use it on bass, it has different character then on the guitar.

Oh yea usually most pedals will sound different and even better on bass. even that shittly fucking metalzone pedal sounds good on bass.

Them Black Metal pedals are repainted versions of the Artec Soloist Distortion. They sound good for a more old school black metal sound actually!
