Troof. I'm so used to the Eventide interface I would probably go for the latter. I guess since I haven't been recording noise I've been focusing on what I can use for guitar a lot more. They've just been sitting for a few weeks and it makes me anxious when stuff sits. Maybe that means I should record some noise

And Donny, if I flip the FreqBox I'll come to you first!

Another thing, you don't have any real estate left on your board for something of that size. I understand the feeling when something sits and there's so many shiny things out there, but sometimes its worth the wait and I have a feeling you'll end up missing them once their gone.

And yes you should record some noise! If i wasn't slammed with band stuff at the moment I'd totally setup a time for us to record some stuff again.

So I'm thinking of selling my Moog Low Pass Filter and my FreqBox so that I can pick up a Space... Skip, talk me out of it? Or, thoughts?

Hold off my friend, I think you'll get more usage out of the moogs with your noise projects. And if your really set on getting something like that, just wait a few months, Strymon will inevitably release a timeline / mobius style reverb this year. At that point you can either unload the moogs and pick one of those up, or pick up a cheap Space as everyone and their brother unloads theirs in favor of the strymon.

On another note, I did scrap my AD9 and a Gloom Drive for a 60's Electro Voice 635A with a stand and XLR cable so that I can have a more wide range mic to record with my cab. I've got my kick mic dangling near the edge of the cone, and I will probably place the new one close to the center. We will see, but it'll sound a lot better I think

And we gotta hang out sometime soon man! We've got so much to catch up on. I feel you on being busy as shit though. We've been all over the place the past week and a half

finally getting the hang of the DMC3 a bit

i always place the volume pedal next to the board rather than on it...this leaves more room on the board and is also easier to operate/keep my balance cos it's closer to the floor. i use Hosa 90º adapter connectors to patch the vp into the board after fuzz/before delay so i can do swells into the RV-3.

Yeah I've got the Mooer and the Holy Grail. I'd definitely thought about stereo recording with those, but never actually did it... Hmmmmmmm
I did make a few presets on my TimeFactor that are set up to be really huge sounding hall verbs which are nice. And with the expression wheel on the controller I made I can do a wet/dry mix on the fly which is GREAT and I use every day

And I KNOW! I'm psyched about the mic too. Seems nice and unusual, so here's to hoping it'll be a nice contrast to the kick mic. I'll definitely let you know when it's landed for stereo mic'ing on the cab

And I THINK that we might be able to go to the show on the 22nd. I mentioned it to Chrys once but we were at work, I need to talk to her again about it outside of work so we can actually talk about it hahah but I want to see you guys play!

The learning curve is quick on those, once you get into looping and switching back and forth between record + play / reverse + half speed / loop volume it will get easier and quicker. The bank up / down mode is where I usually leave mine, less problems if you accidentally stepped on it.

See my friend, sometimes GAS can be quenched by using what you have!!!

I'm going to look some more into that mic today and see whats up with it, hopefully the element is still in good shape. Old mic's can be hit or miss, not due to abuse or anything, but do to just natrual aging.

I like Strats. This just seems like the ideal Fender for me when it comes to strat vs. tele. Both pickups are always on and in theory it should be a brighter guitar than everything I have now. So this would be a rad guitar for cleaner shit along with adding some flavor to different songs. Hopefully i can get it tuned to A standard. I have concerns as to how well this will/wont handle the lower tunings.

What guitars are you tuning down now? I have a strat with a low A and it works great. In theory my baritone should handle it better but it doesn't seem to. And the strat is a lot better balanced.

I do like the standard strat style pickguard a lot. The pickups and posts and switch are all on the same plastic so you can leave it wired up and drop a new one in with only having to solder a few wires. I've got a pickguard loaded with single coils and one with dual humbuckers that I switch out once in a while to give the guitar a different tone.

Right now I have two gibsons and a LP copy that are all in A. I have heard mixed opinions on the ability for Fender 25.5 scale esque guitars handling super low tunings. My biggest concern which Ancient pointed out is the the strings go through the back of the bridge and up through the saddle. It's not a string through body so the heavier strings will be a pain in the ass to get into the saddle which could cause some serious intonation issues.
