I have a DC-10 in that color. Me and my brother call the color "vagina". I think dano calls it copper or something? I need to fix the wiring in that thing. Also I need to get a new bridge, cause mine started to bend.

At any rate, buzzy twangy jangly fun guitars! Never see enough danos here, on account of them hating gays.

what vaginas you've been seeing, guys?

looks great :) only thing that bugs me about those Danos is the body binding... basically i've been seening this baritone Dano and the binding is slowly coming off kinda like a tape

The binding comes off like tape because that's all it is! You can buy rolls of it.

I never said it was "nice" vagina color. But I mean, I've seen some gross ones on the internet that have come close.

OK, well... tape binding is not really a quality i'm looking into when choosing a guitar... but if it doesn't leave any residue, i guess i could always take it down... i like the guitar very much, i think that '56 is their best looking design

It's pretty heavy duty tape, cheap too The tape also ages in a really nice way, creams out.

I don't like the 56 as much as I like the DC. But they are really great guitars, very unique. Aluminum nuts, rosewood saddle but somehow manages to have decent intonnation, the body is made out of a plywood frame, and masonite boards, they are semi hollow. They have a good twang to them. The pickups are wound out of phase, so they don't hum a whole bunch. Controls are well thought out, the stacked pots are neat. They are cool guitars! :thumb:

I bought my first guitar today. I have been playing bass for 16 years so I figured I would give it a try.

I'm cool w/ black teles and Mexi as long as it's a maple fingerboard. The RW fingerboards on Mexi anything is teh yuck.

At Proroby,...sorry mate. :(

I put the sticker on there and took it off before I sold it. It's a piece of hockey stick tape, I have a whole roll of it,....so I can put another on the next guitar I buy. :thumb:

I can't answer for Spaceflunky (his is a Maton MS526 I believe) but I own a couple and they are incredible guitars. I have the MS500 50th and a BB1200JH, both 25.5" scale and both built incredibly well. The BB1200 is my absolute favorite guitar, loaded with hot coil tapped HBs, it packs a shitload of variety, going more aggressive than my LP Custom but matching the gorgeous cleans of my Fender Mustang. Really like an all-in-one guitar for me.

Playability is wonderful and they set up easily after the long haul from Austrailia. Better yet, they both stay tune no matter how hard I bang on 'em, something not many guitars I've owned can't manage. As for feel, best described as a combo of a Gibson with Fender scale length, neck's a bit on the thinner side but still plenty chunky, just really comfortable all round.

I've posted these before, but here's my prized Matons.
