Don't get me started on jacks. Pedal builders are short sighted. BOTTOM JACKS!!! BOTTOM JACKS ARE THE FUTURE MOFOS!!!!!!
Think about it.
Where is your pedal board when you play?
IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!
So top mounted jacks. Then your cable has to go all the way around your board and has to half loop to come back at a weird angle to your board and waste like an ass length of cable.
Side jacks. Quarter loop to get there.
Bottom jacks. They just go straight in.
Straight.
In.
Bottoms jacks, assholes.
