Got this today:
Trauma Tone Bloody Axe oscillating Fuzz, built by Wounded Paw. Got it in a trade from JoeTheStache. This thing just rips on bass. It's awesome.

I used to be so interested in the Trauma Tone stuff (especially his contact microphones), but then Bloomer just disappeared...

Is he still recording/putting out stuff? I've got a few of his tapes and they are so ace...

I don't think so, at least not noise. Apparently he's working as an underwater welder now (according to Sam / The Rita). I think he did noise for Endless Blockade for a while? Seems like he still plays drums for
Ride At Dawn, though; looks like that's it as far as his musical output these days.
And yeah the output of his that I've heard is generally ace.

There's no way I'm making a Microbrute happen right now so I did the next best thing to subside my synth gas for a bit while funds arrange themselves. Picked up this Line 6 MIDI controlled because it came with a 30-pin cable to connect to my iPad out of box. Pretty stoked about being able to quietly futz on the synth anywhere I want or connect it to Logic and MainStage to get busy.

No kidding! The eq is way more powerful than I expect. Should really liven up my not-so-tasty Fender Rumble.
Not as much gain as I expected, but in a good way. Will be great for stacking. Just gonna have to decide where to put it in the chain.

It's been a long time coming but I got word Monday that my EGC Chessie, ordered Oct 2012, was ready to ship. Picked it up today from FedEx on my lunch break and OMFG I can't wait to get back home to it. Plugged it in for 20min or so and it was glorious. Setup and build quality are both top notch, perfect in every way. Weight is fantastic too, feels around 8lbs to me. Gonna need some bigger strings though, all in due time.
Titanium anodized body, neck, and headstock. Black anodized fretboard, pickguard, and control plate. Raw edges to emulate neck binding and layering on the guards. Brushed Bigsby and satin hardware. Wired up like a Pawnshop Mustang Special, dual humbuckers each with a 3-way slider to go between inner coil tap/humbucker/outer coil tap. Looks and feels like metal sex. Sounds incredible. Gonna be spending lots of time with this one. My other guitars will be jealous.
Close up to show the raw edge detail on the anodized guard, control plate, and neck.

Thanks dude! Agreed, it looks way more stunning in person and in some of these other pics where you can see all the brushing and fancy finish details. It plays every bit as good as it looks too, an astonishing instrument and piece of craftsmanship. It really turned out so friggin' good. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted and Kevin and Co. nailed it, basically birthed my dream EGC.
