Got to play the Octavio all weekend. My first of this type of circuit. I can't believe I waited this long, I fucking love it.

Wow, that IS a good day!
I just pulled the trigger on this guy on an impulse buy:
http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/Vintage-Jol ... 247&_uhb=1
Will be the first bass I actually own (always borrowed from brother/friends before), so I hope it will be as gnar as it looks!

Sweet scores all around. That bass looks awesome Obulus. Any plans for modding, or leaving it as-is?

By the looks of it I'm guessing I will get new pickups for it, and while I'm at it I will probably redo all of the electronics in a way I like. But as I've never owned a bass I'm not really sure what would be handy... I can see myself throwing some kind of filter thingy in it like I have in my SG (low pass, hi pass, bandpass kinda). Not sure if the low pass will be of any use on bass but I'm pretty sure I'll at least include a bright switch/hi pass or something like that.
Or maybe it'll sound awesome and leave it as is, I just love cooking up plans to mod my guitars/basses

I was gonna say, those pickups look pretty rusty. I hope they're OK. Hope the neck's OK too.

Yeah, it's a bit of a gamble, but I read all of the seller's feedback of the guitars he sold and it was perfect. Stated it is in 'stage condition', so combined with the good feedback I decided to take the gamble. I also noticed the neck is a little curved in the pictures, so I hope the truss rod actually works.

Those bridge saddles look cool as fuck.
At first I was like, man, that things uggo.
But then I went to the eBay link and each picture made me like it more.
