I think their sound is really good as is they just have to find someone that actually really likes to play metal

So I want to create a noise board for fun. Here is what I'll be working with and wanted some input on what else you think would be cool. I'm trying to use this board as more ambient/background textures to play over. So I'm open to a lot of suggestions.
I would love to add something that would act as an instrument itself, like a Drone Commander.

I've thought about it? I don't even know where to start though to be honest with you.

First of all, I'd throw the Count to Five in as mandatory.
Secondly, you can go for an oscillator/drone box like the Drone Commander, but you should be aware that something like that isn't going to act like a static sound generator, it's going to act like a possessed instrument (the Grendel especially), which means that you're probably going to have to bend your bass playing to it, rather than vice versa. It's essentially closer to something like an RTG than a source of sound, particularly when you're just starting out and trying to get a handle on what everything does. You can get it to do barely pulsing noise swaths, but it takes a little bit of finessing.
Sidenote: the RTG is actually fucking awesome.

Whenever I want to drone through my board, I just take a guitar capo and use it to hold down a keyboard note, usually some synth/organ type sound. Nowhere near as cool as those drone generators, but it cost me $0 extra dollars to accomplish. It might work for you if you have a cheapo casio laying around.
