As the new resident Mayor of Seppuku Pedals (on ILF), they're not even worth $300 let alone 600 Euro. I'm the mayor.... my word is gold. Judge/Jury/Sheriff/Deputy/Soy Boy/SIMP/Prostitute.

I actually briefly exchanged with him recently (I am old now so "recently" means within the past 2 years). He was talking about getting into digital coding but that was before I later heard he sore off pedal building. I had asked about getting a cyclical interval for my stupid collection. He was like "Nah, I'm not going to do that. It sucked. Don't get that one."
He's a funny guy.

EDIT: It was 12/3/2018. Yeah... recently

Haha good to see someone is keeping order around here

I mean, "worth" is a very vague concept. Very few pedals are worth 600€ lol. But in seriousness, what has the mem loss been going for lately?

I know this is a forum dedicated to pedals so pardon the sacrilege when I say... no pedal is worth over $450 (and that's a stretch... I'm being VERY generous with my metric). But don't go off my stupid metric as I am just a poser projecting his insecurities on a gear forum

Mem Loss is only going for $250 these days.

A few days ago a defective Memory Loss (broken PT2399 IC only is my guess) went for 140$ at eBay/US.

Sounds fair for a broken pedal. Well I'd be happy to find an early version of the Memory Loss or a Dynamic Echo mod for 250...

I mean, if I sold the mem loss because I wanted to give it a new home i would not sell it for more than $200 to a homie I knew would want it. I bought the thing for 150€ or something way back before glitch pedals were widely available. The only reason I asked was that if the thing went for an absurd amount I would probably sacrifice my ethics of gear commerce for an analog four mk1 or something.

I have some morals but not that many

Well I've seen a couple of IC waters sell for 500 or 600 dollars this year (there's one on Reverb right now)... Considering that the Memory Loss is arguably the "most famous" of Rhys' pedals, it might be worth a lot...
What version do you have? Is it the one with the external chip?

I got u covered bro.
Do you filters for your feed on Reverb? UC used to use google alerts back in the day... in case any popped up on Ebay. All thoughts.
You also missed that brief period where NO ONE wanted them for a minute and Gizmo Music couldn't get rid of their stock. What a world!

EDIT: Or... you can E-mail Rhys directly. UC and I have done that. When something ran out in his store... E-mail and ask i he's willing to make another! Say "Please" and "Thank you"!

Thanks man. Yes I use alerts on a few sites, but overlooked ebay, don't know why. Maybe I thought that most people would first try selling through Ilf...
I bought my ML back in 2016 and my Eccodrone in 2017, directly from Rhys. I remember that Gizmo music moment, but I think their Seppukus weren't old stock, but new units (like the ones on Fuzz Monster). I'd rather find versions built before mine (mine is supposedly v5)...
You're right I should do a general Google alert.
Edit: I also missed a couple of pedals because you get your Feed e-mail from Reverb around 4pm, but the pedal has been on line all day and it's already gone by the time you read the e-mail...

Actually, after posting here yesterday I did write an e-mail to Rhys. To my surprise he answered overnight. He might be back soon with new stuff! :joy:

You can just DIY this though, as there are schematics online.

I'm intrigued to see what Rhys comes up with next. Last I spoke to him he was trying to bend reverb pedals, but alas without much success. In my dreams there exists a Seppuku verb and it is as glorious as the MemLoss is.

This was iiin... 2017.

That's not the same! I'm not capable of doing those clumsy solder joints as Rhys. :p
