So I went to a buddy's house to jam today and he mentioned that he had a non operational bass laying around. Turns out, its a Gretsch Junior Jet. He just gave it to me! Hardshell case and all. Brought it home, opened it up, soldered two connections and cleaned it up. Now I have a kickass Gretsch. Its the old one with one pickup, and its Fucking monstrous. Apparently this one has a better pickup than the newer ones. Played it right after my jag and the output was nuts. So loud and fat and awesome. Probably gonna sell my jaguar now. I'm in love with this bass. Pics soon.

Oh and he also let me borrow his old ass Boomerang looper. Pretty fun but man, I suck at looping.

I can appreciate the technicality, he's very talented. But I find that I just basically can't listen to any slap/pop bass any more.

I have no GAS. I see a pedal and think, that might be neat to play with, but then I realize I'd just end up selling it quickly. The only thing that might interest me is a new Octave pedal of some sort (the new Digitech Drop seems like it might be fun), but I'm not motivated to really go grab one.

I have my Dingwall Super PJ5 due in a few months...was thinking I would sell the current Dinger and get a fun bass, but I think I'll just sell it flat out. I also have this Starcaster Hollowbody, but it doesn't keep my interest when I have the Dingwall sitting there. Only thing I miss on the Dingwall is the lack of a bridge pickup which will be remedied in a few months. Need to find a new hobby or something, though rescue pooch is taking up enough of the spare monies.

Not even for the next source audio pedal? I'm getting closer to curing my own gas, but I know the builders I love will keep pumping out new goodies that I'll want to use.

I suppose if they did manage to get the octaver/synth done or if they got a delay done then I might switch out the reverb for it, but I don't really have needs for anything outside of distortion, filter, modulation and octave.

yurrrrrr. i have a spot on my board for a small pedal if i find something i lurv lurv, but i'm just super happy with my loot. when Danno gets situated at his new spot i might finally try to badger him into a Source Manta Rehouse Project.

SmallEQ, I hear ya. I'm going the strymon route to cover my delay needs and eventide for synth/octave. But I'd prefer the smaller form of an sb2 pedal.

I have some GAS, but my bass rig is pretty set -- and I almost have a backup "board" finished, too.

I actually contacted Source Audio about this to ask them if it's doable and they said yes. Haha! He'll have to replace the footswitches, but it's totally doable dude. Your enclosure won't get smaller, but it will be customized at least.
