I had a rather odd gig.
A few minutes before it started my bass stopped working. But something was wrong with the power in the place because I had my Mesa Prodigy cranked to 8 and was getting the volume I usually get at 1. It was a smaller place so it worked. The guitar/singer had a similar experience. So I had to borrow someone's Stingray just assuming my jack went out again. I've had this bass 12 years, the only thing that's ever gone wrong with it has been the jack so I just figured it was happening, again.
Got home and the Status is playing just fine. Harumph.
It did reaffirm how much I love my Status S2 Classic, though.
Here's one of the only pics you'll ever see of me playing a bass other than my Status.

I bought a Squire Jazz not that long ago and it sounds fucking great dude! I kind of wish it would stay set up better, but I think if I upgrade the tuner keys, and maybe the bridge, it will be literally the perfect bass for 200 bucks. It sounds every bit as good as their expensive models.
I know you're talking about a baritone, but still. Good shit.
The Bass VI isn't really a baritone; it's a real 6-string bass, but with two higher strings instead of a low B, and it has much smaller string spacing.
But yeah, I already have the Squier VM Jag bass, and love it. But the Bass VI just really calls to me.

I'm not one to hate on pedals generally but...
I've never heard a pedal disappear as much as the MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe. Bassist in a trio before my band used one tonight, and you could not tell it was on. No mids at all; it might as well have been plugged straight in.
Honestly felt bad for the guy and offered to build him something better.
But really... it's an awful pedal for live use. And I usually love MXR's bass pedals (own 2 myself). But they completely missed on their fuzz.
How they get high reviews on retailer sites is beyond me.
